Over 200 million VND to take care of female union members
JIA ZHI Company Limited currently has a fairly high female workforce, about 67%, with nearly 4,500 people. Taking care of this group of workers is identified by the company's Trade Union as extremely important to ensure production efficiency.
The Chairman of the Trade Union of JIA ZHI Company Limited shared: As a garment-related enterprise, the female workforce plays a very important role. This group is the main group to maintain operations at the unit, but it is also a group with many arising issues and many weaknesses, so more attention is needed at the grassroots level.
Every year, the Trade Union promotes the role of Vietnamese women on the occasion of March 8 and October 20. At the same time, the unit also organizes many small activities such as Ao Dai week (in coordination with the City Labor Federation); supports women in the celebration of the Hai Ba Trung Startup (incorporated with March 8.3)... The level of support for female union members in 2025 at the two factories has exceeded 200 million VND.
The representative of the Trade Union added that the Trade Union is currently researching, researching and learning from other enterprises in the same industry to discuss and make recommendations to the company to attract and retain employees working at the facility.
In parallel with caring for welfare, the work of developing union members is also focused on. Since the beginning of the term, the Trade Union of JIA ZHI Company Limited has developed more than 4,200 union members, an increase of 188%. The current goal is to develop union members to 98% of employees working at the company to join the Union.
Caring combined with developing union members
At the Trade Union of Phuong Dong Food Processing Export Company Limited, most of the workers at the enterprise have participated in the Trade Union organization with more than 2/3 of the union members being female workers. To attract workers to participate in the Trade Union organization, the company has carried out propaganda and mobilization work in parallel with caring for the interests of union members.
"The concerns and aspirations about salary, bonus, and shift meals of union members and workers are promptly listened to, grasped, and improved by the Executive Committee of the Trade Union. Thanks to that, female union members increasingly trust the Trade Union organization as well as enthusiastically respond to activities organized by the Trade Union," said the Trade Union representative.
Also a unit with a large number of female employees, the Trade Union of Dai Nam Food Processing Company Limited regularly monitors and grasps the legitimate thoughts and aspirations of the women to propose to the company's Board of Directors. Thereby, contributing to creating harmonious production relations in enterprises.
In addition to the prescribed regimes, on holidays such as March 8, October 20, the company also conducts activities such as giving flowers, cakes, parties to encourage the spirit of female workers... These activities are both a concern and a way for the unit to attract female workers to join the Trade Union organization.
Can Tho City Labor Federation said that the unit has issued an official dispatch on continuing to deploy and carry out key tasks of Women's work in the fourth quarter of 2025. Accordingly, the affiliated trade unions continue to need to pay attention to organizing practical activities to care for the material and spiritual lives of female union members, workers and children of union members and workers in difficult circumstances on the occasion of the anniversary; Strengthen coordination with relevant departments and branches, the Women's Committee for the Southern Association, and the Women's Union at the same level in developing and implementing regulations on gender equality; Promote the application of digital transformation in women's union activities.
