Female workers account for 58.2% of the total number of unemployment benefits recipients

In November 2025, in Hanoi, female workers accounted for 58.2% of the total number of unemployment benefits recipients.

According to the Hanoi Employment Service Center, in November 2025, the number of people applying for unemployment benefits decreased slightly compared to October (from 6,531 records to 5,730 records). However, the number of people with unemployment benefits decided to receive unemployment benefits increased slightly (from 5,300 to 5,660 cases).

Regarding the structure of workers receiving subsidies, female workers continue to account for the majority with about 58.2% of the total number of people approved to pay, a slight decrease compared to the previous month. In terms of age, the golden age group of workers (from 25 to 40 years old) is still the group with the largest proportion (accounting for 61%), showing that this is the group that continues to suffer the most fluctuations in the labor market.

However, a notable trend is that the number of people receiving allowances in the age group over 40 continues to be high (accounting for 30.5%). This increase shows that job pressure is spreading to middle-aged workers - who are easily eliminated due to the pressure of information technology networks and the application of AI, automation into the work of businesses.
