Attending the program were: Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Pham Minh Khue - Deputy Secretary in charge of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Health; Mr. Nguyen Luong Tam - Chairman of the Vietnam Medical Union.
At the program, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor presented 90 million VND from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to support 90 union members and employees of the hospital on the occasion of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026; leaders of the Central Endocrinology Hospital presented gifts to patients in difficult circumstances; the Ministry of Health and the Vietnam Medical Union presented signs to support union members and employees in difficult circumstances belonging to grassroots trade unions in Hanoi city.
The program has a total of 21 booths, including 8 0-dong booths. At the 0-dong booths, patients being treated as inpatients at the hospital will receive free essential goods, helping them alleviate difficulties and be determined to overcome illness.
The program "Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" is not only a Tet shopping space with many quality-assured goods and preferential prices for union members and workers; but more importantly, it is a place to spread humanity and compatriotism, a bridge connecting trade union organizations, medical staff, workers with patients and the social community.
Through the program, the Trade Union mobilizes the joint efforts of employers, businesses, and philanthropists to organize 0-dong booths, deep discount booths, give Tet gifts and provide practical support to seriously ill patients and patients in particularly difficult circumstances who are being treated and celebrating Tet at the hospital. Each gift, each 0-dong booth is a message of love, sharing, adding faith and willpower to patients, and also a great source of spiritual encouragement for the team of doctors and medical staff who are dedicatedly taking care of people's health day and night.
Mr. Nguyen Luong Tam - Chairman of the Vietnam Medical Union said that caring for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers, especially during Tet and Spring, is the core, consistent and deeply humane function of the Vietnam Trade Union organization. Imbued with that spirit, the Vietnam Medical Union has issued Plan No. 72/KH-CDYT dated October 27, 2025 on organizing activities to care for union members and workers on the occasion of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026; and at the same time supporting the grassroots Trade Union of the Central Endocrinology Hospital to organize the "Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" Program. This is an activity of profound political and social significance, clearly demonstrating the role of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers in the health sector.
According to Mr. Nguyen Luong Tam, organizing the "Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" right at the hospital is even more meaningful. This is not only an activity to care for union members and employees of the hospital, but also a warm sharing for patients who are undergoing long-term treatment and cannot reunite with their families during Tet. In the context that the health sector still faces many difficulties, great work pressure, and increasingly high professional requirements, humane activities like this are the spiritual support, contributing to building a compassionate, united, and meaningful working environment.
Also at the program, units and philanthropists presented gifts to patients and medical staff in difficult circumstances on the occasion of the 2026 Lunar New Year.
