Hai Phong Trade Union Tet Market takes place for 10 days, in 2 areas of the East and West of the city to create favorable conditions for union members, workers and people to participate in the program.
In which, the Tet market organized at Viet Tiep Friendship Labor Culture Palace (No. 53 Lach Tray Street, Gia Vien, Hai Phong) takes place from January 28 to February 1 and the Tet market at the Legal Consulting and Support Center for Workers, Facility 2, No. 5 Ngo Quyen Street, Thanh Dong Ward, Hai Phong) takes place from February 4 to February 8.
The Tet market has a scale of about 200 - 300 rich and diverse booths such as food, essential foods, Tet cakes and jams, regional specialties, clothes, consumer goods... Products are sold at preferential prices (minimum discount from 10-30%), ensuring quality, helping union members and workers have conditions to shop for Tet economically, safely and conveniently.
In addition to shopping activities, the program also organizes many exciting cultural and artistic activities such as singing and dancing performances to celebrate Spring (karaoke singing contest "good singing will be good singing", art festival "Dance of welcoming spring"), folk games ( tug-of-war, sack dancing). In particular, the traditional ao dai performance contest "Spring Youth Union Dance" creates a bustling, cohesive atmosphere and brings moments of relaxation after a hard working time.
Attractive side activities such as calligraphy writing, making banh chung, banh tet also promise to attract the attention of a large number of union members, contributing to preserving and spreading traditional cultural values during the traditional Tet holiday.
Within the framework of the program, the City Labor Federation (LDLD) will give Tet gifts, shopping vouchers, screening for stroke risk factors, metabolic diseases and free eye exams to about 1,000 union members and workers in difficult circumstances. Thereby, expressing affection, care, and timely sharing, helping workers feel warmer when Tet comes and spring returns.
