Sharing with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Luong Trong Thanh - Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation - said that he was very honored to be consulted and introduced by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Hoa province to run for election as a delegate of the 19th Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Council, term 2026 - 2031, in constituency No. 21, including communes: Nga Son, Nga Thang, Ho Vuong, Tan Tien, Nga An and Ba Dinh.
Mr. Thanh said that previously he was assigned by the Provincial Party Committee to receive work, holding the position of Deputy Secretary of Nga Son District Party Committee (old). After that, he was transferred to be the Principal of the Provincial Political School. Currently, he is a member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation.
“I myself mainly work in Party and mass organizations; then transferred to work at schools - where I research and teach political theory; to date, I have directly directed practical activities of the workers', civil servants', laborers' movement and trade union activities. Therefore, I deeply understand both theory and practice about the role and responsibility of a People's Deputy,” Mr. Thanh shared.
According to Mr. Thanh, in this term, if elected as a delegate of the Provincial People's Council, he will have better conditions to propose socio-economic development solutions; ensure national defense and security in the province in general and for voters of Nga Son, Nga Thang, Ho Vuong, Tan Tien, Nga An and Ba Dinh communes in particular.
If he is trusted by voters to be elected as a delegate to the 19th Provincial People's Council, term 2026 - 2031, Mr. Thanh will focus on implementing a number of key contents:
First, promote the role of elected representatives, regularly maintain close contact with voters and people; listen to and fully and truthfully synthesize opinions and recommendations of voters and people to reflect and promptly propose effective solutions to the Provincial People's Council.
Second, fully participate in meetings; proactively research, participate in building and deciding on mechanisms and policies for socio-economic development, especially public investment; infrastructure construction; social housing; solutions for industrial development associated with high-quality agriculture; ensuring a safe and happy living environment for the people.
Third, promote the role of the Fatherland Front and mass organizations in supervision and social criticism; building a clean and strong Party and government; preventing and combating wastefulness and negativity. Pay attention to proposing policies to ensure social security, care for people with meritorious services, poor households, and near-poor households; building the great national unity bloc.
Fourth, continue to take care of the movement of workers, civil servants, laborers and trade union activities; especially protect the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; encourage workers to enthusiastically produce, improve productivity and product quality; improve income, build prosperous, happy, and progressive families.
Fifth, with the responsibility of being a delegate elected in Nga Son, Nga Thang, Ho Vuong, Tan Tien, Nga An and Ba Dinh communes, he will accompany the Party committees, authorities, and the Fatherland Front of the communes to take care of the material and spiritual life of the people; especially economic development, administrative procedure reform, improving digital transformation capacity; contributing to building an effective and efficient government, close to the people, serving the people, for a prosperous and happy life of the people.
