On the afternoon of May 4, on the occasion of Workers' Month 2026, a delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor led by Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) visited and encouraged coal industry workers at Vang Danh Coal Joint Stock Company (Quang Ninh province).
Also attending were Mr. Vu Anh Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, General Director of Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited (TKV); Mr. Nguyen Huy Nam - Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy General Director of the Group; Mr. Le Thanh Xuan - Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, Chairman of TKV Trade Union; leaders of Quang Ninh Provincial Labor Federation; leaders of Vang Danh Coal Joint Stock Company.
The report at the working session said that as of April 30, 2026, Vang Danh Coal Joint Stock Company has 5,626 employees, working in 51 units (including 26 mining units; 11 transportation, line and service units; 14 departments).
As a result of the first 4 months of 2026, the company produced 1.43 million tons of raw coal, newly dug 12,947 meters of mines, consumed 1.2 million tons of coal, revenue reached over 2,097 billion VND, salary income of employees was 22.7 million VND/person/month, of which miners were over 28 million VND/person/month.
In addition to production work, the company and the company's trade union pay attention to working conditions and regimes for employees: Tet care activities; health care work, implementation of welfare regimes, grasping the thoughts and aspirations of employees...
Accordingly, every year, organize periodic health check-ups every 6 months for 100% of employees; pay attention to collective housing conditions for workers; organize domestic and foreign tourism visits for over 6,800 people/year, of which 100% of employees are entitled to short-day tourism visits supported by the company with 4,000 VND/person; employees with excellent achievements in production labor achieving excellent miners, high-income workers,.... are organized by the company for 4-5 days of tourism visits.
In Workers' Month 2026, the company's trade union organizes many activities towards union members and workers, in which it is expected to organize periodic dialogue conferences on May 16 to strengthen grasping the ideological and public opinion situation among workers, promptly reflect and resolve issues of concern to workers, and share the business production situation of enterprises.
At the visit, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor presented gifts to the collective of Vang Danh Coal Joint Stock Company; presented gifts to 4 excellent workshop collectives; presented gifts to 12 excellent safety and hygiene workers.
Speaking to encourage workers, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan said that today is a very special day as we continue to organize Workers' Month, responding to the Action Month on occupational safety and health, towards the 90th anniversary of the traditional day of miners and the traditional day of the coal industry, as well as the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Trade Union.
Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan expressed his joy and excitement when visiting and meeting to encourage leaders, workers, and laborers of TKV Group; and at the same time sent wishes for health and safety to leaders, workers, and laborers.

According to Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, during his lifetime, Uncle Ho especially valued workers in the mining area. Uncle affirmed that the tradition of the Party and the Vietnamese trade union organization is deeply imprinted with the tradition of discipline and solidarity of workers in the mining area.
General Secretary and President To Lam, immediately after the success of the 14th National Congress of the Party, spent time visiting Quang Ninh province and mining workers. The General Secretary and President gave careful instructions on applying scientific and technological advances, digital transformation, ensuring labor safety and hygiene, and not trading productivity with the health and safety of workers.
At the same time, he instructed the trade union organization to better care for the material and spiritual life not only of workers in the mining area but also for their families. "These are thoughtful, thorough, and caring reminders that the General Secretary and President have given to workers in the mining area," Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan expressed.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan expressed that this visit to workers in the mining area comes with deep feelings and sincere gratitude for the hardships in the labor process, even the sacrifices of workers in the mining area so that the country, Quang Ninh province and the coal industry can achieve great achievements like today.
Mr. Dao Van Toan - worker of ventilation workshop, safety and hygiene worker of the company was moved when receiving gifts from the head of the Vietnam Trade Union organization.
This is a great source of encouragement for me. I will try harder in my professional work as well as in my role as a safety and hygiene worker of the company," Mr. Toan expressed.
The male worker is 40 years old this year, and has worked at the company for 17 years. A stable income at the company helps him and his wife cover family expenses and raise their children to study. As a safety and hygiene worker, every day, he propagates, mobilizes, and upholds the spirit of ensuring safety in the working process for workers in the workshop. Mr. Toan once participated in the company and group level safety and hygiene worker contest.
I hope that in the coming time, the company will continue to promote labor safety propaganda with actual images so that workers can grasp and see the risks of unsafety, thereby enhancing the spirit of ensuring safety in production," Mr. Toan shared.
