On the evening of February 13th (December 26th of the lunar calendar), the grassroots trade union (CĐCS) of Yazaki EDS Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Di An ward, Ho Chi Minh City) said that the unit is coordinating with businesses to organize the program "Meaningful Bus Trip" to take workers home for Tet.
There are 6 sleeper buses that will take 240 workers back to their hometowns in the provinces from Dak Lak to Hanoi.
Talking to reporters, Ms. Pham Thi Tuyet Nhung - Chairwoman of the grassroots trade union of Yazaki EDS Vietnam Co., Ltd. said that this year the jobs and incomes of employees are quite stable. During Tet, the company decided to give Tet bonuses to employees equal to 2.4 months of basic salary plus allowances.
To take care of workers far from home, the company also organizes bus trips to take workers home. All costs of the program to take workers home are sponsored by businesses.
The company will organize 6 sleeper bus trips to take about 240 workers home for Tet. The buses will pick up workers moving from the factory in My Phuoc Industrial Park to Di An and depart for their hometowns" - Ms. Pham Thi Tuyet Nhung informed.
Grassroots trade union officials and leaders of Yazaki EDS Vietnam Co., Ltd. saw off workers on buses to their hometowns. Company leaders wished employees a warm and happy Tet with their families.
According to the grassroots trade union of Yazaki EDS Vietnam Co., Ltd., this year the enterprise has Tet holiday from February 13th to the end of February 23rd. On February 24th, the enterprise will organize production and employees will start going back to work.
