The conference was attended by Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Member of the City Party Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, President of the Can Tho City Labor Federation.

Reporting at the conference, Ms. Tran Tu Nhien - Vice President of the City Labor Federation, said that after the merger, the whole city has 898 grassroots unions with 139,426 union members and 162,806 workers. The City Labor Federation has established a delegation to visit and work with 12 affiliated trade unions, after the arrangement and merger, to promptly share, encourage, care for and support union members and workers. The Golden Heart Social and Cultural Fund is considering supporting the construction of 6 new Union Shelters for workers in difficult circumstances, with an amount of 300 million VND and organizing a ceremony to present 29 Union Shelters in 2025.

At the conference, grassroots union officials raised many opinions, focusing on many issues such as: union fee collection level, union support focal points after the merger, support for Union Shelters, cultural, artistic and sports movements for union members, welfare programs, union member management software, shift meals, union meals.

In her speech, Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai informed the grassroots unions about the contents related to the current organizational situation of the City Labor Federation. Regarding proposals and recommendations, the Chairman of the City Labor Federation requested that professional and technical departments strengthen guidance for grassroots unions on emulation and reward work, propaganda work, women's work; support operations on software, legal advice, etc. with the motto of Can Tho Labor Union: "Staying on the side of activities - a pillar of difficulties - proud of the Trade Union".
Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai also suggested that the grassroots trade unions focus on propagating the Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 15th Can Tho City Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030; prepare well for the Trade Union Congresses at all levels.
