Parents feel secure when their children quickly integrate
Joining the bustling opening atmosphere across the country, in the 2025 - 2026 school year, Can Tho City welcomed nearly 500 students who are children of officials and civil servants from Hau Giang and Soc Trang provinces to join their parents in transferring jobs. This is not only a special milestone for the city's education sector but also marks the integration of new "child citizens" in Tay Do land, creating more vitality for the new school year.

In class 1A1, Tran Quoc Toan Primary School (Ninh Kieu ward) there are 2 students whose parents transferred them to Can Tho. One of them is Ly Nguyen Phuong Anh - daughter of Ly Truong Khoa, an officer of the Can Tho City Labor Federation.
Mr. Khoa said that he used to work at the Trade Union of Industrial Parks in Soc Trang province. After implementing the policy of arranging and merging Soc Trang, Hau Giang and Can Tho provinces, he was transferred to Can Tho city.
"At first, my wife and I were very worried. If he leaves his children in Soc Trang, he will be away from his family. Fortunately, the city has created conditions for children to study according to their wishes at a boarding school in Can Tho, convenient for transportation. The child was still shy at first, but after a week, he quickly caught up with the new environment. We are very happy," Mr. Khoa shared.
Phuong Anh also innocently said: "When I first entered the school, I was a bit scared, because I didn't know anyone. But friends invite me to play together, the teacher often visits me, so now I feel happy. On weekends, parents take their children back to their hometown, and they meet old friends, so they are no longer sad."

The second case is Bao Quan - the son of Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy, an officer of the Can Tho City New Rural Coordination Office (under the Department of Agriculture and Environment). Previously, Ms. Thuy worked at the New Rural Coordination Office of Soc Trang province. When she decided to move to Can Tho, she took her son with her to take care of him.
"At first, I was very worried because my family was lonely and had to take my child with me. It is not known whether the transfer procedures are favorable or not. However, thanks to the city's support, the Department of Education and Training and the school's enthusiastic guidance, the process was very quick. In the early days, the homeroom teacher and the nanny often encouraged and helped him integrate quickly, so she was very assured, Ms. Thuy shared.

Similarly, Nguyen Phuc Nguyen - son of Ms. Nguyen Anh Thu, a civil servant of the Can Tho City Labor Federation (formerly the Soc Trang Provincial Labor Federation) - is also a case of transferring schools this school year.
"What I worry about most when I take on a new assignment is my child's education. Luckily, the old school completed the procedures quickly, the new school also provided timely support, and had boarding, so I am very assured. In the early days, I got used to the new job and took care of my child. It is a good thing that he quickly became friends and gradually fell in love with the new school," said Ms. Thu.

Ms. Mach Le Xuan - Principal of Ngo Quyen Primary School (Ninh Kieu Ward) - informed that in the 2025 - 2026 school year, the school has 1,726 students, divided into 53 classes, of which about 50 are children of cadres from Soc Trang and Hau Giang.
"As soon as there is a document guiding the Department of Education and Training, the school will review the number of students, allocate classes, and prepare facilities. Students are arranged in all classes, creating conditions for integration. After a week of schooling, most have adapted well," said Ms. Xuan.
At Tran Quoc Toan Primary School (Ninh Kieu Ward), Principal Huynh Thi Xuan Lan said: This school year, the school has 1,415 students, an increase of more than 120 students compared to the previous year; including 35 students from Soc Trang and Hau Giang. "For students transferring schools, homeroom teachers are reminded to pay more attention, because of environmental changes, friends and teachers can affect their psychology and learning outcomes," Ms. Lan shared.
According to the Department of Education and Training of Can Tho City, the whole city currently has 1,215 kindergartens and general schools with more than 38,263 managers, teachers and staff. In the 2025 - 2026 school year, it is expected that over 654,700 children and students, including nearly 500 students who are children of cadres from Soc Trang and Hau Giang, will return to their parents to take up the assignment in Can Tho.
