On July 17, the working delegation of the Can Tho City Labor Federation (CLF) led by Mr. Le Cong Khanh, Vice Chairman of the City Labor Federation, visited and worked with grassroots unions (CDCS) in Song Hau Industrial Park, Chau Thanh Commune.

At the Trade Union of Minh Phu - Hau Giang Seafood Joint Stock Company, the representative of the unit reported on the production and business situation and trade union activities in the past time. The union has closely coordinated with the company's Board of Directors to organize domestic and foreign sightseeing and tourism for workers; mobilized the construction of 5-7 "Union Shelters" each year. In addition, the company has mobilized partners to support the establishment of a mutual support fund of more than 1.6 billion VND, helping each union member borrow 10 million VND without interest to develop the family economy. Every year, the company also awards about 1,500 scholarships and honors the children of workers with excellent academic achievements.
At the Trade Union of Number One Hau Giang Company Limited, the Trade Union said it always focuses on caring for union members through visiting activities, organizing cultural and sports activities. The union has coordinated with the enterprise to invest more than 1.3 billion VND to build a sports playground to serve workers at the company. Each month, the Trade Union will have 2 meals to thank workers.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Le Cong Khanh highly appreciated the role of the grassroots trade union in accompanying businesses in caring for union members' lives. He affirmed that the Can Tho City Labor Federation always cares about and promptly grasps the thoughts and aspirations of union members and workers; at the same time, he requested that specialized departments absorb the opinions and proposals from the grassroots, support businesses to research and advise appropriate support solutions in the next phase.
On this occasion, the leaders of the Can Tho City Labor Federation presented gifts of gratitude to businesses as a deep thank you for their coordination, support and companionship with the Trade Union organization, especially in the context that trade unions at all levels are implementing the arrangement and consolidation of the organization.
