Typical activities are: Organizing the "2025 Trade Union Tet Market" with 36 booths at the Headquarters of the Ministry of Public Security, attracting more than 5,000 union officials, soldiers, union members (DVCD), and workers; issuing more than 3,000 vouchers to union members in difficult circumstances and outstanding union members worth more than 300 million VND to shop at the 2025 Trade Union Tet Market; giving more than 50 essential equipment and Tet gifts worth from 6 to 12 million VND/family to 9 union member families in especially difficult circumstances...
The People's Public Security Trade Union coordinated to organize the program "Warm Spring of the Border - Trade Union Love Festival" in 2025, giving 200 gifts to ethnic minorities; 100 gifts to primary and secondary school students in mountainous areas; giving 100 meaningful gifts along with many essential items such as flashlights, hot hot pots, helmets... to the commune police force... The total value of the gifts is up to 500 million VND.
The People's Public Security Trade Union visited and presented 222 gifts (1 million VND/gift and gifts in kind worth 500,000 VND) to policy families and meritorious people in Hung Yen province.

Trade unions at all levels in the People's Public Security proactively coordinate and strengthen inspection and supervision activities on the implementation of policies and regimes on occupational safety and health, wages, bonuses, working hours, rest hours, social insurance regimes, health insurance, welfare regimes for union members and employees... at units and enterprises; recommend to the Party Committee and leaders to promptly resolve problems, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in units and enterprises.
Guiding grassroots trade unions in the enterprise sector to coordinate in advising on organizing labor conferences in combination with disseminating and disseminating the Trade Union Law in 2024, Program No. 05/TTr-BCH dated September 6, 2024 of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on "Improving the effectiveness of collective bargaining dialogue for the period 2023-2028", developing regulations and collective labor agreements at the unit; directing trade unions at all levels to organize dialogue activities between Party committees, leaders, and commanders of units and union members. Evaluating the activities of the People's Public Security Trade Union in the first 6 months of the year, Major General Ngo Hoai Thu - Deputy Director of the Department of Political Affairs (Ministry of Public Security) - said that the trade unions at all levels of the People's Public Security Trade Union have done a good job of the assigned tasks. Regarding key tasks in the last 6 months of the year, Major General Ngo Hoai Thu suggested that the People's Public Security Trade Union at all levels should promote them better to clearly demonstrate the role of the trade union for workers.
As of July 1, 2025, after implementing the Project to reorganize and reorganize the Trade Union model in the People's Public Security in the spirit of Resolution No. 60-NQ/TW, Conclusion No. 157-KL/TW, the People's Public Security Trade Union has decreased from 3 levels to 2 levels, ending the activities of 211 grassroots Trade Unions with 15,843 union members in units receiving 100% of their salaries from the State budget. Currently, the People's Public Security Trade Union has 21,135 union members operating at 26 grassroots unions, including 11 unions assigned at the grassroots level (the police unions of provinces and centrally run cities and a number of unions of units under the Ministry).
