Comrade Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor emphasized this when speaking at the forum "Strive to be worthy of being a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam", held on the morning of February 16 at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Management Board Hall.
Deploying many solutions to develop the Party among workers
President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang said that developing party members is a very important content of Party building work in terms of organization. Creating resources for Party development is the task of the entire political system, from the central to local levels, including the role and responsibility of the trade union organization. Especially developing party members among the workforce and laborers directly involved in production and business. This is a supplementary source, strengthening and ensuring the inheritance and development of the Party; contributing to consolidating the class alliance, strengthening the nature of the working class, improving leadership capacity, ruling capacity and fighting strength of the Party.
Based on the Party's policies and resolutions, in recent years, trade unions at all levels have implemented many solutions to develop the Party among workers and laborers in units and enterprises.
Trade unions at all levels have promoted propaganda work, raising awareness among Party committees, cadres, Party members, and workers about the position, role, importance, significance, and benefits of Party development in enterprises;
Focus on consolidating, perfecting, and improving the quality of Party organization activities; innovate and improve the quality of Party activities in a practical direction, in accordance with the actual conditions of enterprises and each unit;
Raising the awareness of business owners about the purpose and significance of establishing a party organization in enterprises; affirming the establishment of a party organization in enterprises is to accompany enterprises in mobilizing workers to compete in labor production, comply with labor discipline, be exemplary in performing tasks, regulations and regulations of enterprises; do a good job of discovering and fostering to create a source for developing party members; promote the role of the trade union organization in Party development and continue to educate and train party members in the environment of the trade union organization.
Under the leadership and direction of Party committees at all levels, the trade union organization has affirmed its role as a bridge between workers and the Party, through introducing outstanding workers with sufficient qualities, abilities and revolutionary ideals for the Party to consider and admit. At the same time, the trade union focuses on training workers in ethics, labor discipline awareness, solidarity and social responsibility, thereby forming the necessary qualities to become exemplary party members. With the support and assistance of the trade union organization, the majority of workers have made continuous efforts, always promoting the spirit of striving to be worthy of being a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam" - President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor emphasized.
The Party can only develop strongly when each Party member always strives, trains and matures
For the 2018-2023 term, trade unions at all levels introduced 700,000 outstanding union members to the Party for consideration of training and admission 1.8 times higher than the previous term). Of which, the number of outstanding union members admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam is 399,676 comrades (an increase of 1.4 times compared to the previous term). The rate of outstanding union members outside the state sector accounts for more than 11%, with nearly 10% of outstanding union members being workers. In 2024 alone, 80,327 union members were admitted to the Party's ranks out of 158,813 people introduced by trade unions at all levels.
Pointing out the above figures, the President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor said that this has recognized the tireless efforts and strivings of a number of union members and the active and responsible participation of trade unions at all levels.
Over the past 95 years, the Communist Party of Vietnam has continuously developed and affirmed its role in leading the glorious revolutionary cause of the entire nation. The Party can only develop strongly when each Party member always strives, trains and matures. To be worthy of being a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam, each Party member in general and Party member as a worker in particular must constantly study, practice, cultivate revolutionary ethics, uphold exemplary exemplary metaphor, actively contribute to the common cause of the Party and the nation, enhance the nature of the working class of the Party, be worthy of being the most excellent representative of the working class; constantly strive for the goal of socialism, bringing our country into a new era - the era of national development" - Comrade Nguyen Dinh Khang affirmed.
