On January 12, the Trade Union of Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Parks held a conference to summarize and reward trade union activities in 2024 of the Trade Union of Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Parks.
According to the Trade Union of Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Parks in 2024, the labor relations situation is basically stable, there are no collective labor disputes, strikes, or illegal work stoppages.
However, there is still one case where Hoa Khanh Textile Joint Stock Company still owes salary and severance allowance to 89 workers. The Trade Union of Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Zones has guided the workers to file a lawsuit against the Company according to regulations. Through the mediation steps, 27 workers successfully mediated and 62 workers continued to authorize the lawsuit to claim their rights.
On August 26, 2024, the People's Court of Lien Chieu District opened the trial sessions. After 5 working days, the Trial Council of the People's Court of Lien Chieu District issued a verdict, forcing Hoa Khanh Textile Joint Stock Company to pay all unpaid wages and severance pay to 62 employees, a total amount of more than 1.9 billion VND.
The Trade Union of Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Zones also organized a Trade Union Meal for its affiliated grassroots trade unions. As a result, 49 grassroots trade unions organized it with the participation of 29,314 union members and workers, with a total organization cost of more than 700 million VND.
In 2025, the Trade Union of Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Parks will promote the implementation of the key program for the 2023-2028 term of the Trade Union of Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Parks.
The Trade Union of Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Parks focuses on developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions according to the annual targets assigned by the city.
Ms. Phan Thi Thuy Linh, President of the Da Nang City Labor Federation, said: "During this Lunar New Year, I suggest that you grasp the security and order situation as well as the situation of salary and bonus payment for workers, especially units that are in arrears of salary. From there, we can proactively grasp the security situation of workers in the area."
Therefore, this year, the Trade Union of the High-Tech Park and Industrial Parks in Da Nang will focus on taking care of union members and workers in difficult circumstances, ensuring timeliness, targeting the right people, transparency, prioritizing those who have lost their jobs, have unpaid wages, have reduced income, workers from other provinces, rent houses, have serious illnesses, pregnant female workers, and women with young children in difficult circumstances during Workers' Month and the end of the year.
