News from the Da Nang City Labor Federation on December 20 said: The City Labor Federation coordinated with the Department of Health to organize a conference to disseminate information on social evils prevention and control for 300 union members and workers working at the enterprise at Fujikura Automotive Vietnam Co., Ltd. - Hoa Cam Industrial Park.
The conference was attended by Ms. Le Thi Ngoc Oanh - Executive Committee member, Deputy Head of the Industrial Park Trade Union; Mr. Luong Vinh Thai - Head of the Department of Social evil Prevention and Control and reporter of the Da Nang Department of Health.
At the conference, union members and workers were informed by the reporter of the city's Department of Health about the contents of the State's policies and laws related to preventing and combating social evils; identifying the behaviors, harms and preventive measures for prostitution, drugs, human trafficking, HIV/AIDS.
The program was organized vividly, combined with the presentation of images and illustrative clips, and at the same time, time was spent discussing and answering practical issues that workers are interested in during their work and activities.
According to Ms. Le Thi Ngoc Oanh, the work of propaganda on preventing and combating social evils is of great significance in raising awareness and equipping union members and workers with skills; contributing to building a safe, healthy and stable working environment at enterprises.
Ms. Oanh suggested that union members and workers attending the conference seriously absorb the content being conveyed, proactively raise vigilance, fulfill their responsibilities in preventing and combating social evils, contributing to maintaining security and order at production facilities.
On this occasion, the Da Nang City Labor Federation will continue to coordinate to organize 4 conferences to propagate against social evils for 1,000 union members and workers of the grassroots trade unions: Daiwa Vietnam Co., Ltd., Mabuchi Motor Da Nang Co., Ltd., Morito Da Nang Co., Ltd. and Yuri ABC Da Nang Co., Ltd.
Through propaganda activities, the Da Nang City Labor Federation hopes to improve awareness and skills in preventing social evils of union members and workers.
At the same time, it clarified the role and responsibility of the Trade Union organization and employers in the management and construction of a safe and healthy working environment, contributing to maintaining security and order at enterprises.
Innovation is transmitted from content to form
For many years, the work of propagating and disseminating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies, and the dissemination of celebrations and major events of the country, localities and trade unions has been organized by the Da Nang City Labor Federation synchronously, innovating both in content and form.
In the period from 2023 - 2025 alone, the Da Nang City Labor Federation organized 1,921 propaganda sessions for about 191,000 union members and workers.
In particular, up to this point, there have been 75 "Self-managed workers' groups in boarding houses" established by the Da Nang City Labor Federation with nearly 15,000 workers.
In the "Workers' Self-management Group of Boarding Housing Areas", the Da Nang City Labor Federation provided legal bookcases, televisions, mobile speakers, distributed Lao Dong Newspaper for free, and supported operating costs.
"The "Workers' Self-management Groups of Boarding Housing Areas" are areas for the union to gather, grasp the situation and care for workers after work, selected by the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee as one of 16 models of skillful Mass Mobilization that need to be replicated in the coming years" - Ms. Oanh said.
