In Dak Lak province, there are currently 2,831 enterprises and units participating in social insurance with 114,848 workers; of which 665 enterprises employ 20 or more workers.
The Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) alone is managing 668 grassroots trade unions with 60,842 union members. There are 147 grassroots trade unions under the management of central industry trade unions and LĐLĐ of other provinces and cities, with about 16,000 union members working in the province.
From July 1, 2025 to the end of May 2026, trade union levels in the province mobilized and used nearly 30 billion VND to care for and support union members and workers.
This funding is focused on activities such as supporting the construction of "Trade Union Homes", visiting union members in difficult circumstances, providing emergency allowances, organizing "Workers' Month", "Tet Sum vay" and many other practical welfare programs.
In particular, one of the key tasks that trade union levels in the province have implemented throughout the past time is to organize free health check-ups and "Trade Union Meals" for union members and workers right at the grassroots level.
Ms. Truong Thi Truc Kha - a worker at Nguyen Hung Co., Ltd. - confided: "Trade Union meals bring a very different feeling.
Being able to sit with business leaders, trade union officials and colleagues in a friendly atmosphere helps me feel more clearly the cohesion in the collective.
For the first time receiving free health check-ups from Tuy An Bac Commune Trade Union, Ms. Nguyen Thi Quy My said that she was very touched and excited.
Thanks to the Trade Union organization's program, I have the opportunity to have a general examination and check my current health status. The examination results help detect early abnormal signs to proactively treat and prevent diseases" - Ms. My shared.
One of the new and creative points of provincial trade union levels during Workers' Month 2026 is the focus on grassroots levels. Commune and ward trade unions can prioritize resources to care for union members and workers. At the same time, trade union officials have better conditions to stick to grassroots levels, understand the thoughts and aspirations of union members.
According to Mr. Le Van Thanh, Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial Labor Federation, for many workers, the greatest joy does not lie in the material value of a meal or a health check-up, but in the feeling of being cared for and shared.
These practical activities have added faith, helping union members become more attached to the Trade Union organization, to businesses and strive to contribute to the overall development of the unit.
It can be said that the free health check-up program and "Trade Union Meal" have spread a humane message about the companionship and care of the Trade Union organization for workers. From those practical actions, the belief, cohesion and spirit of solidarity in the working collective are increasingly strengthened" - Mr. Thanh emphasized.
