On the morning of July 25, the working delegation of the Can Tho City Labor Federation (CLF) led by Ms. Tran Tu Nhien, Vice President of the City Labor Federation, visited and worked with the grassroots union of HS Vietnam Chemical Company Limited, Soc Trang Branch, a unit operating in An Nghiep Industrial Park.
Currently, the Company's Trade Union has 1,127 union members out of a total of 1,129 employees, reaching a rate of 99.82%, being one of the typical units in developing union members and caring for the lives of workers in the shoe and shoe components manufacturing and processing industry.
In recent times, the grassroots trade union has always actively responded to emulation movements and activities launched by the higher-level trade union, especially focusing on caring for the material and spiritual lives of union members with many practical activities: organizing mini football tournaments on the occasion of April 30 - 1.5; giving gifts on March 8 - October 20 to female union members; giving gifts for Workers' Month to union members in difficult circumstances; rewarding children of union members with good academic achievements on the occasion of June 1.
In addition, the Trade Union also maintains monthly birthday gifts and New Year's Day, coordinating with businesses to take care of Mid-Autumn Festival and Lunar New Year for workers. The union also proactively carries out social security work, promptly mobilizes and supports union members in work accidents and traffic accidents, and demonstrates the spirit of mutual love.
Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Tran Tu Nhien acknowledged and praised the efforts, initiatives and effective operating models of the grassroots trade union, especially the outstanding results in developing union members. She suggested that the Trade Union should continue to accompany businesses in protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers, thereby contributing to keeping workers attached to businesses, building harmonious, stable and developing labor relations.
Regarding the recommendations and proposals of the unit, the Vice Chairman of the Can Tho City Labor Federation requested that the professional departments of the Trade Union Working Committee receive and consider timely support, creating conditions for the Trade Union to successfully fulfill its roles and tasks.
On this occasion, the Vice President of the Can Tho City Labor Federation attended the "Union Meal", visited working conditions, salary policies, and welfare regimes for workers, and encouraged union members and workers to continue competing in production labor, and work with businesses to develop sustainably.
On behalf of the Can Tho City Labor Federation, Ms. Tran Tu Nhien sent the enterprise a gift in exchange for thanking the enterprise for always accompanying the grassroots union to take good care of union members and workers.
