2. Consolidating the organizational structure according to the new model
Implementing the policy of the Party, State and Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL), Dong Thap Trade Union has completed the arrangement and streamlining of the organizational structure.
The Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation (new) was established on the basis of mergers, the Trade Union system was reorganized in the direction of reducing intermediary focal points, strengthening grassroots levels, establishing 84 Trade Unions of communes and wards and Trade Unions of industrial parks and economic zones, contributing to improving operational efficiency.
3. Successfully organizing Trade Union Congresses at all levels
Although the context has many organizational changes, Trade Union Congresses at all levels are still organized on schedule, ensuring principles and promoting democracy. In particular, the 1st Congress of Dong Thap Provincial Trade Union, term 2025-2030, was successfully organized, creating a historical milestone, establishing directions, goals, and new tasks for the movement of workers, civil servants, laborers and trade union activities in the new period.
4. Spreading the program "Trade Union Meal
In 2025, the whole province organized 54 "Trade Union Meals" with the participation of 38,748 union members, with a total budget of more than 1.9 billion VND. The program contributed to improving the quality of shift meals and improving the health of workers.
5. Exceeding the target "Trade Union Shelter
The "Trade Union Home" program was effectively implemented with 131 houses built and repaired for union members with housing difficulties, exceeding the registered target. The total support cost is 7.61 billion VND, helping many union members stabilize their lives and feel secure in working.
6. Innovation and creativity in Workers' Month
Workers' Month 2025 is organized soi noi and sang tao (vibrantly and creatively) with 2,409 grassroots trade unions participating, reaching over 162% of the target. The models "Happiness Bus Trip", "Non-profit Trade Union Supermarket", "Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space", "Self-managed Dormitory Area", supporting female workers,... create a unique mark of Dong Thap Trade Union in the work of caring for union members.
9. Emulation movement brings clear socio-economic efficiency
The patriotic emulation movement was widely deployed with 50 provincial-level projects and tasks completed early. Initiatives and technical improvements helped save and profit more than 20 billion VND, contributing to improving labor productivity and production and business efficiency.
10. Promoting the role of participating in building the Party and political system
The Trade Union actively supervises the implementation of labor laws and social insurance; participates in contributing opinions to Party Congress documents at all levels. Through the emulation movement, more than 1,000 outstanding union members have been introduced to the Party, contributing to building an increasingly strong Party organization.
