In that context, trade union levels continue to focus on performing the function of representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers. In the period 2023-2025, the Trade Union chaired 364 supervision sessions, participated in 567 supervision sessions, organized 246 social criticism sessions, focusing on salaries, social insurance, labor contracts, occupational safety and health. In particular, the Trade Union has supported workers to reclaim their rights with an amount of more than 2.5 billion VND.
The work of caring for life continues to be maintained through activities such as the Lunar New Year program, Workers' Month, union member welfare... with more than 449,809 turns of workers, civil servants and laborers being supported, with a total budget of 186 billion VND. Trade union levels built and repaired 142 "Trade Union Homes", "Houses of Gratitude" with a budget of over 6 billion VND; mobilized to increase the value of shift meals to over 18,000 VND/meal at 245 enterprises.
CNVCLD also actively participates in social activities such as voluntary blood donation, supporting people affected by natural disasters and hardships, with a total budget of over 31.6 billion VND.
Mr. Doan Ngoc Duc - Vice Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union of An Khe Sugar Factory - said that the Trade Union not only promulgates policies but also clearly shows its role through specific daily actions. The Trade Union organization always accompanies and protects rights so that workers can feel secure in working and promptly support when union members encounter difficulties.
For me, the Trade Union is a common home, a reliable support for me to share difficulties in work and life," Mr. Duc said.
A solid support for workers
Mr. Ha Duy Trung - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial Labor Federation - said that the highlight in the past term is the increasingly clear role of the Trade Union organization in representing and protecting workers.
The Provincial Trade Union has proactively participated in building and supervising the implementation of policies related to workers; promptly reflecting the recommendations and aspirations of workers, civil servants and laborers through committees, councils, supervisory delegations and voter meetings.
Social supervision and criticism activities are implemented in the right focus according to Decisions No. 217 and 218 of the Politburo, contributing to detecting and correcting errors and protecting the legitimate rights of employees.
The implementation of democracy at the grassroots level is maintained regularly, thereby many recommendations from the grassroots level are received and handled promptly, limiting the rise of disputes and strikes.
Legal advice and legal support continue to be effective in directly protecting the rights of employees, especially cases related to salaries, insurance and regimes and policies.
Mr. Ha Duy Trung affirmed that Gia Lai Provincial Trade Union is confident that the Provincial Trade Union organization has been and is doing better and better the mission of representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers, creating peace of mind in employment, stabilizing the lives of union members and contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations at the workplace in the spirit of Directive No. 37-CT/TW of the Secretariat.
