On October 5, the Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor (GFF) organized a ceremony to honor and present gifts to 100 children who have overcome difficulties and studied well, who are children of union members, workers, and laborers in the province in the 2024-2025 school year.
This is a meaningful activity, demonstrating the practical concern and care of the Trade Union organization, all levels, sectors and the social community for the young generation - the future owners of the country.
In recent years, the province's workers and laborers have made many important contributions to the local socio-economic development. However, the lives of many workers' families still have many difficulties, from difficult working conditions, limited income to many shortages in daily life. However, parents always spend love and sacrifice silently to raise their children to study and practice.
It is that spirit of overcoming difficulties that has truyen down the fire of determination, helping them to constantly strive, achieve high academic results, and become the pride of their families, teachers and the Trade Union organization.
In the past school year, hundreds of children of workers and laborers in the province have achieved the title of excellent and excellent students; many students won high prizes in district (old) and provincial exams.
Sharing her joy at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nu (born in 1987, residing in Cat Tien commune, Gia Lai) - a worker at Tingco Binh Dinh Joint Stock Company - expressed her emotion: "This is the first time my child has been honored and received a meaningful gift from the Trade Union organization, right on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival. Seeing you happy, I am also very happy. Thank you to the Trade Union for always accompanying and encouraging the children of workers to overcome difficulties and study well, so that they can have a brighter future than their parents in the future".
At the commendation ceremony, Vice President of the Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy commended and congratulated the students for their efforts to overcome difficult circumstances and achieve excellent results in studying and training.
Ms. Thuy emphasized that they are the pride of their families and parents, a shining example for friends to follow, and at the same time a great source of encouragement for workers to become more attached and dedicated.
With the motto "Where there are workers, there are trade unions to take care of", in recent times, the Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor has coordinated with all levels, sectors and grassroots trade unions to implement many practical programs such as: supporting the construction of "Union Shelter", visiting workers in difficulty, giving Tet gifts, organizing "Union Meals", "Workers' Festival" and many other meaningful activities.
In that series of activities, taking care of the children of workers and laborers is always a top priority. Because investing in the younger generation is investing in the future, in high-quality human resources of the province and the country.
"We hope that this timely attention and encouragement will give them more strength to continue to walk firmly on their path of studying and training, becoming useful citizens, contributing to building Gia Lai to become more and more beautiful and civilized," Ms. Thuy hopes.
