Attending were Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Nguyen Ngoc An - Chairman of the Vietnam Education Union (CĐGD) and 123 typical workers, 71 scientists with outstanding achievements in teaching, scientific research and technology transfer, representatives of grassroots trade unions directly under the Vietnam Education Union.
Speaking at the opening of the program, Chairman of the Vietnam Education Union Nguyen Ngoc An emphasized that in the context of the country entering a new era with many opportunities and challenges, human resources play a central role in development. According to Mr. An, the team of teachers, scientists and workers in the education sector not only contributes to the quality of each training institution but also plays an important role in the sustainable development of the country.

No matter what position, from service staff, security guards to teachers, scientists... all are contributing to creating resources for the future with the task of innovation, breakthrough and development. Through the program "Thank you to workers in 2026", the Vietnam Education Union wishes to express gratitude and create more motivation for the workforce to continue to confidently contribute," Mr. Nguyen Ngoc An shared.
Representing typical workers, Mr. Au Chien Thang - technician in charge of the electrical system of Vinh University expressed his honor and emotion when participating in the "Thank you workers" program organized by the Vietnam Education Union. Having been attached to the school for nearly 20 years, Mr. Thang and his colleagues have always strived to ensure the electrical system and facilities operate safely, serving teaching, learning and scientific research.

Mr. Au Chien Thang said that the concern and encouragement from school leaders and trade union organizations is a great source of motivation for workers to feel secure in their work and become more attached to the profession. According to him, the "Thank you to Workers" program is not only an opportunity to honor workers but also helps people doing service, technical, and administrative jobs to feel more clearly their role and value in the collective, thereby having more motivation to continue to contribute.
At the program, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Huynh Thanh Xuan highly appreciated the initiative of the Vietnam Education Union when combining the organization of scientific conferences with the program "Thank you workers", thereby both closely following major policies on innovation and digital transformation, and directing direct attention to workers in the education sector.
In the environment of higher education and research institutes, besides a team of teachers and scientists who are pioneers in knowledge, there is also a force of workers and service staff who silently contribute to creating the quality of training and research. Today, 71 outstanding scientists and 123 typical workers honored are representatives of the spirit of responsibility, dedication and aspiration to contribute of the team of officials and employees of the education sector," Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan emphasized.

To continue to promote the achieved results and spread more strongly the spirit of Workers' Month, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Huynh Thanh Xuan requested the Vietnam Education Union and trade unions of units to focus on effectively implementing a number of contents: Continue to innovate trade union activities in the direction of taking union members and workers as the center; proactively participate in building and supervising the implementation of policies related to employment and wages; create conditions for scientists to promote research, international publications and technology transfer; and at the same time promote patriotic and digital transformation movements in trade union activities and the education sector.
At the program, the Vietnam Education Union presented gifts to 123 typical workers in 2026, and awarded Certificates of Merit to 71 scientists with outstanding achievements.
