According to the Vietnam Education Trade Union (VTC), in the first 6 months of 2025, the VTC issued documents directing and guiding lower-level trade unions to enhance the role and responsibility of the executive board and the standing committee of trade unions in leading, directing and organizing the implementation of inspection and supervision work; flexibly and innovate the content, methods and processes of inspection and supervision; regularly educate and raise awareness of the team of union officials and cadres, teachers and workers (CBNGNLD) about the position, role, importance, significance and effectiveness of inspection and supervision work; have solutions to improve the capacity of the team of union inspection committee cadres.
The Trade Union Inspection Committee has directed and guided the Trade Union Inspection Committees at all levels to effectively and seriously carry out inspection and supervision work; when inspecting and supervising, it is necessary to focus on key issues, creatively applying regular, surprise, and periodic inspection forms, direct and indirect inspection methods.
Focus on inspecting, supervising the collection, distribution, management and use of union finance and assets; effectively implementing the work of receiving union members, promptly grasping the reflections and concerns of union members, teachers and workers to respond, answer and make recommendations to the unit's leaders for timely resolution. Every year, it is necessary to summarize and evaluate the effectiveness of inspection and supervision work; thereby drawing lessons to have a better direction for inspection and supervision.
Implementing the direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, trade unions at the grassroots level and affiliated grassroots trade unions have proactively and actively innovated in content and improved the quality and efficiency of inspection and supervision work.
Accordingly, the Trade Union Inspection Committee actively advised the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee to resolve recommendations and proposals of employees in accordance with the provisions of law and the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union. The work of receiving employees is carried out by units seriously and in accordance with regulations; many trade unions promptly grasp the opinions and concerns of union members and employees about policies, labor allocation, job positions, etc. to respond, answer or make recommendations to unit leaders for timely resolution, ensuring the rights of employees.
The affiliated trade unions have improved the quality and quantity of inspections and supervisions, ensuring the target according to the direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. The units that have been inspected by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Inspection Committee in the past have seriously overcome the limitations according to the inspection team's recommendations.
In the first 6 months of 2025, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and its affiliated trade unions organized 246 inspections of compliance with the Charter, including 70 inspections for counter-level trade unions and 176 inspections for subordinate trade unions. Organized 59 supervisions for trade union organizations and 2 visits for trade union officials and members. 35 trade unions at all levels have inspected the management and use of finance, assets and economic activities of trade unions at the same level; did not record cases related to handling and participating in handling complaints and denunciations.
