On the morning of June 6, at the Da Nang City Labor Culture House, Hai Chau Ward Trade Union organized the opening ceremony of the 2026 Hai Chau Ward Workers, Civil Servants and Laborers Sports Festival.

The sports festival is organized to implement the key work program of the Executive Committee of Hai Chau Ward Trade Union in 2026, and at the same time practically celebrate the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, term 2026 - 2031.
This is also an opportunity for union members, officials, civil servants, public employees, laborers and grassroots trade unions to exchange, improve health, strengthen solidarity, and contribute to successfully completing political tasks and production and business activities in agencies, units, and businesses.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Luong Duc Quan - Vice Chairman of Hai Chau Ward Trade Union emphasized the significance of the movement to practice physical exercise and sports among workers, civil servants, and laborers.
The sports festival is not only an opportunity for athletes to show their talents, bravery and noble sportsmanship, but also an opportunity to strengthen exchanges, learning, and connections between agencies, units, and businesses; contributing to building an increasingly strong Trade Union organization," Mr. Quan said.
Accordingly, this year's sports festival includes 5 sports: badminton, tug of war, sack racing, table tennis and pickleball.
The sports festival attracted nearly 300 athletes from 23 units to participate. Athletes and referees performed the oath-taking ceremony, committing to compete honestly, unitedly, in accordance with regulations and ensuring fairness in the competition contents.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee awarded souvenir flags to the referee team and 23 units participating in the sports festival to encourage and motivate the spirit of the athlete delegations before entering the competition.
After the opening ceremony, the Organizing Committee approved the competition program and competition contents of the Hai Chau Ward Workers, Civil Servants and Laborers Sports Festival in 2026.
