On the afternoon of June 6, Mr. Ngo Quoc Phong - Chairman of the People's Committee of Cu Jut commune (Lam Dong province) - confirmed that a traffic accident between a tractor-trailer and a tractor-trailer occurred on the Ho Chi Minh road, killing 3 people and injuring 3 others.

The Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police is coordinating with Cu Jut Commune Police and professional units to organize scene examination, traffic regulation, and investigate to clarify the cause of the accident.
Initially, functional agencies determined that the deceased victims included Mr. Y Sep E Ban (born 1994, residing in Trum hamlet, Cu Jut commune, Lam Dong province) - the driver of the tractor - who died on the spot; Mr. Y Min Bkrong (born 2002, residing in Thanh Nhat ward, Dak Lak province) and baby Y Hoa Prieng (born 2016, residing in Cu Jut commune, Lam Dong province) who died at Cu Jut Medical Center.

The 3 injured victims include Mr. Y Win K'Nul (born 1958, residing in Cu Jut commune, Lam Dong province), child Y Chun Ê Ban (born 2021, residing in Cu Jut commune, Lam Dong province) and tractor-trailer driver Nguyen Huu Duc (residing in Ea Kao ward, Dak Lak province). The victims are being treated at the Central Highlands Regional General Hospital.
Previously, as Lao Dong Newspaper reported: At about 7:40 am on the same day, at Km1801+600 of the Ho Chi Minh road, passing through Truc Son village 2, Cu Jut commune, a tractor-trailer with license plate 47H-040. 88 pulling a trailer with license plate 47RM-005. 98 driven by driver Nguyen Huu Duc was traveling in the direction of Dong Nai - Dak Lak.
When arriving at the above location, the tractor-trailer collided with a tractor-trailer without license plates driven by Mr. Y Sep E Ban, carrying 4 people on the truck bed, traveling in the opposite direction.
The strong collision caused the two vehicles to be thrown to the side of the road. Mr. Y Sep E Ban died on the spot, the remaining 5 people were injured and taken to Cu Jut Medical Center for emergency treatment.
The injured victims were then transferred to Tay Nguyen Regional General Hospital for treatment.
The cause of the accident is being further investigated and clarified by functional agencies.
