Speaking at the opening of the conference, Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor said that for the Trade Union organization, the work of receiving union members and workers and resolving complaints and denunciations is considered important. The Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has issued many documents directing this work as a basis for resolving and participating in resolving complaints and denunciations in the Trade Union organization.
The Party Committee and the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor direct trade unions at all levels to enhance their responsibility in receiving union members and workers, organize direct dialogues, innovate methods of receiving union members and workers, and link the reception of union members and workers with the inspection, supervision, and settlement of complaints and denunciations. Focus on reviewing, accepting and resolving thoroughly and in accordance with regulations the petitions and denunciations under the authority of the trade union organization; actively participate with competent authorities and employers to effectively and in accordance with the law the petitions and denunciations under the authority of state agencies and other organizations; protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers.

According to the Inspection Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, from 2014 to present, trade unions at all levels have received 83,853 people, of which the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor received 1,253 people.
Received 45,944 complaints and 4,345 denunciations, of which 9,718 complaints and 1,264 denunciations were under the authority of the trade union; the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor alone received 2,564 complaints and 822 denunciations, of which 177 complaints and 288 denunciations were under the authority of the trade union.
Trade unions at all levels have resolved 7,005 complaints and 842 denunciations within their jurisdiction; participated with state agencies and workers in resolving 22,638 complaints and 6,062 denunciations, resulting in 11,363 people being returned to work, 2,374 people having their disciplinary level reduced, and 92,825 people enjoying other benefits.
