On the afternoon of December 31, at the 1st Lam Dong Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030, Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor delivered a directing speech and suggested contents for the new term.
According to Mr. Xuan, the 2025 - 2030 term takes place in the context of the country entering a new stage of development, with high requirements for growth quality, digital transformation, green economic development, knowledge economy and deep international integration.
For Lam Dong province after the merger, there is an expanded development space, diverse economic structure and labor force. The trade union organization faces the requirement to continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, improve the capacity to represent, care for, and protect the rights of workers, meeting the requirements of rapid and sustainable development in the new period.
Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor emphasized that the Lam Dong Provincial Trade Union in the new term needs to promote the direction towards the grassroots level, taking union members and workers as the center.
Promote dialogue, negotiation, signing and effective implementation of collective labor agreements. In which, the focus is on salaries, bonuses, working hours, rest, working conditions, working environment, occupational safety and health... to build harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations in the workplace.
Mr. Xuan especially emphasized the promotion of comprehensive digital transformation, innovation, and application of science and technology in trade union activities, considering this as a breakthrough priority for the next term.
At the same time, focus on developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions, especially in the non-state sector and the informal sector, innovating approaches and methods of mobilization suitable to the specific conditions of the province.
Patriotic emulation movements among workers and trade union levels, associated with production and business tasks, improving labor productivity.
From there, encourage and create motivation for each union member and worker to constantly be creative, quickly access science and technology, and promote technical innovation initiatives in production to meet requirements and tasks.
