Many clear imprints in caring for union members and workers
In the period 2023-2025, the Lam Dong Provincial Trade Union continues to affirm its role as an organization representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers after the merger.
There have been nearly 400 inspections and supervisions related to salary policies, social insurance, health insurance and working conditions at enterprises.
26 trade unions of communes, wards, and special zones in the province promptly grasped the thoughts and aspirations of workers at the grassroots level, especially in industrial parks.
Welfare care continues to be a highlight in trade union activities. Through welfare programs signed with partners, 4,038 union members have benefited with a total value of more than 4 billion VND from essential products and services.
In particular, during the recent rain and flood, trade union levels quickly visited and presented gifts to union members, workers and affected people, contributing to sharing difficulties and stabilizing life.
Emulation movements continue to be maintained and spread. Many initiatives are applied to production and business, bringing efficiency.
The whole province has newly admitted 30,678 union members, and newly established 188 grassroots trade unions and professional unions. The rate of businesses with 25 or more employees establishing trade union organizations reached 93%, showing that the representative role of trade unions is increasingly affirmed in the business sector.
Lam Dong Provincial Trade Union enters a new operating phase
Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Mr. Nguyen Phu Hoang - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation emphasized that the clear mark in the past term was contributing to ensuring regimes and policies, improving income and promptly taking care of union members and workers in difficult circumstances, promoting initiatives and digital transformation.
Union members and workers are oriented towards the congress with faith and expectations. The goals, directions, tasks and solutions in the new term will promote the movement of workers, laborers and trade union activities. Thereby, contributing to building Lam Dong province into a fairly developed province, one of the dynamic growth poles of the region" - Mr. Hoang emphasized.
In the 2025-2030 term, the Lam Dong Provincial Trade Union set out 3 breakthroughs including: Focusing on dialogue and collective bargaining on salaries; developing union members in non-state sector enterprises and promoting comprehensive digital transformation in trade union activities.
Along with that are 9 key tasks to improve the quality of representation, care and protection of workers' rights.
In particular, the target is to strive to actually increase at least 20,000 trade union members by the end of the term. And at least 2,000 initiatives and solutions of union members and workers are applied in production, business and work activities.
