On December 4, Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor organized a working delegation to visit, encourage and give support to build a "Union Shelter" house to union member Do Cao Toi, a member of the Yen Bai Construction Materials Joint Stock Company's grassroots union.
The program was attended by Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Nhiem - President of Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor, and representatives of the leaders of the thematic departments of the Provincial Federation of Labor and the grassroots Trade Union.
Union member Do Cao Toi is one of the cases with particularly difficult circumstances of the unit. His parents are old, weak and have a serious illness for a long time, the cost of treatment is expensive while the family's income is unstable. Mr. Toi himself has to take care of his work at the company and raise his young child alone, and every day of life is lacking.
The family's temporary house was built a long time ago, has deteriorated, is cramped and is unsafe, especially during the rainy and stormy season.
However, he always tries to rise up, complete assigned tasks well and actively participate in emulation movements and union activities.
At the support awarding ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Nhiem kindly visited Mr. Toi's parents' health and shared the difficulties in his family's life.
He affirmed that supporting the construction of "Union Shelter" houses not only contributes to helping union members have stable housing, but also demonstrates the deep concern and responsibility of the union organization for difficult cases, promptly supporting union members to work with peace of mind and strive to rise up.
The Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor emphasized: Caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers is always the continuous task of the trade union organization. Through the "Union Shelter" program, we hope that every union member in difficult circumstances will have the opportunity to own a solid home, thereby stabilizing their lives and feeling secure in their work".
This support fund will help Mr. Do Cao Toi's family build a new, more solid and spacious house. This is an important motivation for him and his family to overcome the current difficulties, towards a more stable and better life.
