In the afternoon of March 29, a sudden thunderstorm occurred in Nghia Lo ward, Lao Cai province, causing heavy property damage to people.
In that dangerous moment, the courageous and humane action of Ms. Luong Thi Tinh (born in 1979), a union member of the Nghia Lo Area Project Management Board, residing in Tong Phong residential group, Nghia Lo ward, has moved and admired many people.
According to witnesses, when the tornado hit the area in front of the Nghia Lo ward headquarters (old Nghia Lo Town Party Committee), an ancient tree branch suddenly broke and fell, directly threatening two students passing by.
Without hesitation, Ms. Tinh rushed to pull the students out of the dangerous area. The two students luckily escaped, but she did not have time to avoid them, was hit by a fallen branch and collapsed on the spot.
Immediately after that, people and functional forces urgently took her to the emergency room at Lao Cai Provincial General Hospital No. 3. Due to severe injuries, she was transferred overnight to Viet Duc Friendship Hospital for further treatment.

On the evening of March 30, a working delegation of the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation visited Viet Duc Friendship Hospital to visit Ms. Luong Thi Tinh. At the same time, they presented support of 2 million VND to share the immediate difficulties of the female worker's family.
Nghia Lo Ward Trade Union also encouraged and provided support of 1 million VND.
According to information from doctors at Viet Duc Friendship Hospital, Ms. Tinh is currently out of danger and is continuing to receive intensive treatment and close monitoring.
It is known that Ms. Tinh's family circumstances are extremely difficult. Her husband died early, and she alone is the main breadwinner, raising two young children to study.
Although life is still full of hardships, she is always a responsible and dedicated trade union member in her work and full of compassion in life.
