On July 17, in Sam Son ward, Thanh Hoa province, the Vietnam Agricultural and Environment Trade Union held the 6th Executive Committee Conference, 6th term (expanded). Mr. Nguyen Ha Xuyen - Chairman of the Vietnam Agricultural and Environment Trade Union - chaired the conference.
According to the Vietnam Agricultural and Environment Trade Union (abbreviated as the Industry Trade Union), the unit is currently managing 56,900 union members. In the first 6 months of 2025, the Industry Union has guided its affiliated trade unions at all levels to organize activities to care for the Lunar New Year for union members and workers.
Typically, the Industry Union has supported 61 affiliated units with 1,379 gifts, worth more than 1.3 billion VND; organized the "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng" program in 2025 in the two regions of the South and the North, giving hundreds of gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
Also during the Lunar New Year 2025, units in the industry have coordinated with the government to organize many activities to care for and support tens of thousands of union members and workers - especially those in difficult circumstances - with a total amount of tens of billions of VND.
Responding to Workers' Month 2025, the Industry Union has supported 452 gifts for union members and workers in difficult circumstances, those suffering from serious illnesses, and work-related accidents in 21 units and enterprises, with a total amount of 496 million VND.
Along with caring activities, the trade union movement has many new points, focusing on developing union members, participating in building a clean and strong Party, with many practical activities for jobs, income and life of workers.
Regarding the direction for the last 6 months of 2025, the Vietnam Agricultural and Environment Trade Union will continue to complete the Project on reorganizing organizations and apparatus to submit to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for approval; at the same time, implement the arrangement of affiliated trade unions at all levels according to the direction and resolve well the regimes and policies for trade union officials.
In addition, activities will be enhanced to care for the Lunar New Year 2026, the anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union and the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Agriculture and Rural Development Sector; support for building new and repairing "Union Shelter" houses for union members in difficult circumstances.
