On July 15, the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union held a preliminary review of the first 6 months of the year, the direction and tasks for the last 6 months of the year. Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) - attended.
One of the notable activities in the first 6 months of the year of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union is to coordinate with EVN to sign and issue a Joint Directive on launching emulation to successfully implement tasks and plans for 2025; launching an emulation movement to complete the Lao Cai - Vinh Yen 500kV transmission line project; Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant expansion; Quang Trach Power Center in 2025.
Vietnam Electricity Trade Union also advised and organized a dialogue on 2 cases on the Salary Distribution Regulations of Parent Company-EVN; participated in a dialogue with professionals on job placement for EVNCTI and EVNPSC employees as a basis for the unit to develop a Labor Employment Plan when these two units ceased operations.
In the first 6 months of 2025, the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union has provided subsidies to visit 1,100 workers and civil servants in especially difficult circumstances with an amount of VND 2.015 billion, approved support to build 55 new Trade Union Shelters with an amount of VND 3.3 billion, and approved the repair of 10 houses with an amount of VND 300 million.
In particular, in the Workers' Month 2025, the whole industry had over 1,530 gifts presented to workers in difficulty, serious illness, and work-related accidents with a total amount of VND 4.2 billion; visited over 200 collectives in remote, isolated, border, and island areas, and visited key projects with a total amount of VND 6.9 billion.
Vietnam Electricity Trade Union organized delegations to visit and encourage Workers' Month activities at 32 grassroots units and visit workers in especially difficult circumstances with an amount of 2.3 billion VND...
In the last 6 months of the year, the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union set out a number of key tasks. One of them is to continue to closely follow the direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on streamlining the organizational apparatus of the Trade Union organization system at all levels.

Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan - Standing Deputy Secretary of the EVN Party Committee - affirmed that the Group Party Committee acknowledged the timely propaganda, ideological orientation, and implementation of activities to celebrate major holidays, especially launching emulation movements at key national projects, spreading the spirit of creative labor, promoting initiatives and technical improvements among union members and workers.
The Standing Deputy Secretary of the EVN Party Committee suggested that the Trade Union continue to fulfill its role as a representative, caregiver, and protector of the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers; pay attention to occupational safety and hygiene, preventing occupational accidents; promptly grasp the thoughts and aspirations of workers in the context of restructuring and restructuring the apparatus, thereby promptly reporting to the group's leaders to jointly remove difficulties.
