On July 18, the Buon Ma Thuot City Labor Confederation announced that it had just organized a donation of money to support the construction of a "Trade Union Warm" house for union member Pham Thi Bich Thuy (belonging to the Hoa Phu Commune Grassroots Trade Union).
Ms. Pham Thi Bich Thuy's family is facing many difficulties. Although Ms. Thuy is the President of the Women's Union of Hoa Phu commune, she is struggling to raise two young children. Thuy's husband does not have a stable job.
In addition, the house that Ms. Thuy and her husband are living in has been seriously degraded and is likely to collapse during the peak of the rainy and stormy season.
With the support of the Buon Ma Thuot City Labor Federation and the help of family and colleagues, after more than 3 months of construction, Ms. Thuy's family's level 4 house was completed. The house has a total area of nearly 100 square meters, a corrugated iron roof, and a total value of nearly 150 million VND.
In which, the Buon Ma Thuot City Labor Federation supported 50 million VND (from the Trade Union Shelter fund). The remaining money comes from family and relatives.
In the first 6 months of 2024, the City Labor Federation supported the construction of 6 "Trade Union Shelters" for union members in difficult circumstances, with a total amount of nearly 300 million VND.
