Protecting employees early and from afar
The Resolution of the 7th Congress of the Petrovietnam Trade Union sets out 5 key targets for the 2023-2028 term. Up to now (2025), all targets have been completed, in which many targets far exceeded the Congress's targets, demonstrating the determination, responsibility and strong participation of trade unions at all levels in the entire Group. Notably, the target of developing union members is 8,320/3,000, equivalent to 277% of the plan. This result not only contributes to strengthening the strength and operational capacity of the trade union organization in the entire Group, but also affirms its pioneering role in expanding and gathering union members, creating a solid foundation for mobilizing, caring for and protecting the rights of employees. In addition, the target of participating in investment, construction, repair and upgrading of welfare, cultural and sports works for employees reached 30/01, exceeding the set target by 29 works.
In reality, Petrovietnam Trade Union has focused on synchronously and comprehensively implementing the task of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and employees, creating a solid foundation for harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations throughout the Group. One of them is that trade unions at all levels actively participate in developing labor regulations, democratic regulations, salary regulations, bonuses, salary scales, Collective Labor Agreements (CLAs) and internal policies; coordinate with professionals in job placement, stabilizing income and life of workers. In 2025, out of 119 classified collective labor agreements, 118 reached type A, reflecting high negotiation quality, consensus between businesses and employees, and at the same time affirming the effectiveness of the Collective Labor Agreement in protecting employees early and from afar.
Nearly 250 billion VND to take care of union members and workers
In the period of 2023 - 2025, Petrovietnam Trade Union and Trade Unions at all levels have synchronously implemented many activities to care for the lives, welfare and stabilize jobs for employees with a total budget of nearly 250 billion VND with more than 80,000 employees benefiting. The activities are organized flexibly and creatively, in accordance with the production and business characteristics of each unit and the entire Group, especially paying attention to employees in difficult circumstances, suffering from serious illnesses, occupational accidents, diseases, low income, as well as the workforce on drilling rigs, marine works, projects far from land, remote areas, contributing to ensuring social security and stabilizing the spirit of employees.
A typical example is the program "Spring of Oil and Gas Love" with the strong human identity of Petrovietnam Trade Union every Tet holiday. In the recent period, 06 programs were organized in the Northern and Southern regions with a budget of more than 9 billion VND, taking care of nearly 10,000 workers, especially those in difficult circumstances and workers on duty for Tet at construction works, drilling rigs, domestic and foreign projects. Along with that, visiting and giving gifts during the Oil and Gas Spring, Workers' Month - Labor Safety and Hygiene Month, Oil and Gas Culture Week, Industry Traditional Day... are regularly implemented with a direct care budget of about 17 billion VND, demonstrating the spirit of sharing and accompanying workers.
