News from the Dien Ban Ward Trade Union, Da Nang city on January 1st said: The Dien Ban Ward Trade Union organized the handover of 8 million VND to support housing repairs for union member Pham Thi Het, who is currently working at the grassroots Trade Union of Phong Son One Member Limited Liability Company.
Ms. Pham Thi Het's family is in difficult circumstances. Her husband is sick and unable to work. Ms. Het herself is the main breadwinner in the family, having to raise 3 children who are in school age.
The family's house has seriously deteriorated, the roof is damaged, the walls are cracked, posing many risks of unsafety, especially during the rainy and storm season. However, with limited workers' income, repairing the house is beyond her family's ability.
Faced with that situation, the Dien Ban Ward Trade Union proposed that the Da Nang City Labor Federation organize a survey and support the repair of houses under the "Trade Union Shelter" program, with an amount of 20 million VND, creating conditions for Ms. Het's family to repair and stabilize their residence.
In addition to support from the City Labor Federation, the Dien Ban Ward Trade Union also actively mobilized units, organizations and philanthropists, thereby mobilizing an additional 8 million VND to contribute to sharing difficulties, helping Ms. Pham Thi Het's family to soon complete house repairs and stabilize their lives.
