On the morning of August 1st, the Trade Union of Hoa Xuan Ward (Da Nang City) organized the opening ceremony of the expanded Hoa Xuan Ward Badminton and Pickleball Tournament for workers, civil servants, and laborers in 2026.
The program has the participation of 112 athletes from 20 grassroots trade unions and leaders of agencies, units, and businesses in the area.
The tournament is organized to celebrate the success of the 11th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, term 2026 - 2031 and the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2026).
At the same time, creating a useful sports playground, strengthening exchanges and solidarity between officials, civil servants, public employees, union members, workers and units and businesses.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Do - Chairwoman of Hoa Xuan Ward Trade Union, Head of the Organizing Committee - said that the tournament attracted athletes from 20 grassroots trade unions, with 6 competition contents.
This is not only a health training activity but also contributes to connecting and strengthening exchanges and cooperation between agencies, units and businesses. The organizing committee expects athletes to compete with a spirit of solidarity, honesty, nobility, and dedicate exciting and attractive matches.
At the opening ceremony, representatives of athletes and the refereeing team swore an oath to strictly comply with the tournament regulations, compete and operate with a spirit of honesty, fairness, and objectivity, contributing to ensuring the success of the tournament.
The organizing committee also awarded souvenirs to participating units before the official competition events took place.
