Hoi An Ward Trade Union on April 20th announced the implementation of the plan to organize Workers' Month associated with the Action Month on occupational safety and health in 2026. Activities take place at grassroots trade unions, strongly focusing on workers.
This year's theme emphasizes innovation, creativity and improving labor productivity. At the same time, focus on improving occupational safety and health in the context of digital transformation. The plan sets a clear target: at least 70% of grassroots trade unions with over 100 workers organize response activities. About 10% of union members have technical innovation initiatives, of which 30% of initiatives are applied in practice.
The focus is the "May Dialogue" program and forums to contribute opinions on building trade union organizations. This is a channel for workers to directly reflect their thoughts and aspirations. The "Thank you to workers" program continues to be maintained, prioritizing support for union members in difficult circumstances and vulnerable workers.
Many practical activities have been implemented such as "Trade Union Meals", health check-ups, psychological counseling, and sports organization. The "Sustainable Labor Skills - Employment Day" helps improve skills, digital skills and market adaptability.
The launching ceremony is expected to be held at the end of April, combined with the awarding of 50 gifts to union members in difficult circumstances. The fire prevention, fighting and rescue sports festival is organized in mid-May to improve safety skills.
The Ward Trade Union also signed a coordination agreement with Long Chau Vaccination Center to expand welfare for union members. On this occasion, the grassroots Trade Union of Hoi An Tourism and Service Joint Stock Company was awarded the emulation flag thanks to outstanding achievements.
The series of activities contributes to caring for and protecting workers, building harmonious and stable labor relations. At the same time, it creates a foundation for the trade union organization to continue to innovate and improve operational efficiency.
