Workers present at the hospital work at local businesses, taking advantage of their days off, they go to the hospital for general health check-ups, eye examinations, ultrasounds, Ears - Nose - Throat examinations, general ultrasounds, health consultations and medicine.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Niem (born in 1993), a worker at Duc Hien Quang Tri One Member Co., Ltd. (Vinh Linh district, Quang Tri province) said that when she heard the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor organize a health check-up and provide medicine, she immediately registered to go because it was "free". After the examination, she was very satisfied because the doctors examined and consulted carefully.
"I am very happy to participate in health check-up activities organized by the Union, this is a practical activity, helping workers grasp their health status, thereby promptly detecting diseases for early treatment" said Ms. Niem.
After being examined and given medicine, Ms. Niem also received gifts including shampoo, toothpaste, and cleaning solution worth 150,000 VND. "The union is so thoughtful, I wish there would be a health check-up like this every year" - Ms. Niem added.
Ms. Le Thuy Nhi (born in 1990, residing in Vinh Ha commune, Vinh Linh district) traveled dozens of kilometers to the district center for medical examination. When the doctor examined her, Ms. Nhi said she was very satisfied. "Everything is free, but I find it very high quality. Especially the union officials gave instructions very enthusiastically, the doctors and nurses were gentle" - Ms. Nhi shared.

Ms. Le Thi Quang Son, Head of the Labor Affairs Department of the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor - said that in order to meet the conditions for organizing free health check-ups for workers, the provincial Trade Union officials had to "run around". As the health examination at Vinh Linh Regional General Hospital has just taken place, the Provincial Federation of Labor has coordinated with the Trade Union of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province to approach pharmaceutical and medical supplies companies to ask for support. "For a free medical examination program to be successful, we have to mobilize many resources, fortunately we have the support of other units" - Ms. Le Thi Quang Son said.
In the above health examination program, the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor also presented 10 gifts to support workers in work-related accidents, occupational diseases, and those in especially difficult circumstances, each worth VND500,000; presented 15 study corners to workers' children in difficult circumstances, with a total value of VND30,000,000.
