On September 25, the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor said that the working delegation of the Salavan Provincial Federation of Labor (Laos) led by Mr. Saisamout Chittakone - Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor, visited and worked with Song Gianh Seafood Joint Stock Company (located in Bac Trach commune, Quang Tri province). The delegation included comrade Nguyen The Lap - Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation.
At the meeting, the working group learned about the activities of trade unions at enterprises, especially the implementation of policies, taking care of their lives, supporting union members and workers when they are sick, as well as emulation movements at the grassroots level.
Song Gianh Seafood Joint Stock Company was established in 2010, currently has an average annual revenue of about 208 billion VND, contributing 2.1 billion VND/year to the budget. The average income of workers is about 9 million VND/person/month. The company's trade union is considered a unit with many effective activities in caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of employees.
Mr. Saisamout Chittakone highly appreciated the results that the company and the trade union organization at the enterprise have achieved, and expressed his wish that the company study and expand cooperation and investment in Salavan province in the coming time. Thereby, it not only contributes to creating jobs for local workers but also strengthens the close relationship between the trade unions of Quang Tri - Salavan provinces.
