Mr. Trinh Quang Minh - Deputy Head of the Trade Union Project Management Board (Vietnam General Confederation of Labor) - said that at the end of September 2025, 2 Trade Union social housing projects will start construction in 2 localities including: Bac Ninh province and Vinh Long province.
Specifically, the Trade Union social housing project in Vinh Long province is expected to start construction on September 30, 2025. The project is built in Giao Long commune (Vinh Long province) with a land use area of over 3.3 hectares, including 4 7-storey apartment buildings, 2 2-storey garages, gardens, internal traffic systems, outdoor parking lots, sports areas and outdoor stages... The total investment of the project is over 554.5 billion VND, using the Union's financial resources.
For the Trade Union social housing project in Bac Ninh province (old Bac Giang province), construction is expected to start on September 25, 2025. The project has a total area of about 2 hectares, located in 2 land plots CT-01 and HH-01 in Ho Cong Du Residential Area (Viet Yen Ward, Bac Ninh Province). The main items include: 2 blocks of 10-storey houses with a total floor area of 30,166m2, providing 477 closed apartments for rent, equipped with basic equipment and furniture such as: Elevator, beds, wardrobe, kitchen cabinet... In addition, the project has a 3-storey parking lot with a total floor area of 3,024m2. The total investment is 387.6 billion VND.
When completed, the Trade Union social housing project will contribute to solving the housing needs of union members and workers. Thereby, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere for labor and production, contributing to the implementation of the target of the 1 million apartment project approved by the Government" - Mr. Minh said.
Deputy Head of the Trade Union Project Management Board Trinh Quang Minh also added that it is expected that in the fourth quarter of 2025, more Trade Union social housing projects will start construction in Bac Ninh and Quang Ngai provinces.
Mr. Minh also shared that the Trade Union social housing project in Dong Thap province started construction on July 26, 2025, and workers are currently implementing the construction of the foundation of the housing block.
Implementing the Prime Minister's direction on the target of the 1 million social housing apartments project for the period 2021 - 2030, the Trade Union Project Management Board (Vietnam General Confederation of Labor) and localities are making efforts to coordinate and speed up the completion of necessary procedures to soon start construction of social housing projects for workers and laborers.
With the support of local authorities, the work of land handover and appraisal of legal documents has been supported for quick implementation, creating favorable conditions for the project to be implemented soon. In the coming time, the Trade Union Project Management Board will continue to urge and closely coordinate with localities to ensure progress and quality of the project, and soon complete it to meet the expectations of workers and laborers" - Mr. Trinh Quang Minh emphasized.
