Speaking at the opening of the 4th Patriotic Emulation Congress of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (2025 - 2030), Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung affirmed that the entire sector has made efforts to compete in the past time and achieved many results, with the consistent motto "Determination to act - Aspiration to contribute", with a spirit of openness and modesty.
In the past 5 years, the Ministry has presented nearly 400 Labor Medals, nearly 800 Certificates of Merit to the Prime Minister, 26 collectives were awarded the "Emulation Flag of the Government"; The President awarded 16 Ho Chi Minh Awards, 112 State Awards, 124 People's Artists, 268 Meritorious Artists, 65 People's Artists, 563 Meritorious Artists.
In particular, at the 80th Anniversary of Industry Traditional Day, the Ministry was honored to be awarded the First Class Labor Medal - a noble award recognizing outstanding achievements in the period of 2021 - 2025 and many other forms of commendation from the Central to the grassroots level.
In addition to the achieved results, the Minister frankly stated that the implementation of patriotic emulation movements at certain times and in some units is still not specific; the potential, intelligence, and hidden capabilities within each subject, each cadre, party member, civil servant, public employee, and worker have not been fully aroused.

The 4th Patriotic Emulation Congress of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism took place in the context that the Party, State and the entire political system have been synchronously implementing historic decisions, strategic breakthroughs to bring the country firmly into a new era - the era of strong and prosperous development.
In particular, in the coming time, based on the Ministry's proposal, the Politburo will issue a Resolution on the development of Vietnamese culture in the new era. The issued Resolution is the foundation and stronger driving force for the Ministry and the Culture, Sports and Tourism Sector to develop strongly, said Minister Nguyen Van Hung.
The contemporary requirements and tasks pose for the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism many new and difficult tasks.
The implementation of patriotic emulation movements plays a very important role, forming an internal strength, strongly arousing and awakening the aspiration to contribute of each organization, each unit, each individual.
According to the Minister, it is necessary to deeply and thoroughly understand the position and role of patriotic emulation movements.
Compete to advise correctly, promptly, and creatively, creating an increasingly synchronous system of institutions and legal policies, creating development for the Ministry and the Sector.
Compete to create unique, humane works and works of art, reflecting deeply in the political, economic, cultural and social life of the country and the times.
Compete to build a cultural environment in all fields - from office culture, press culture, business culture, political culture, to cultural life in each residential area and residential group - increasingly civilized, friendly, and rich in identity.
Compete to move towards a professional, humane, and modern press and publishing industry.
Compete to create breakthrough policies to strongly develop tourism.
Compete to build an increasingly modern and dual-use cultural and sports institutional system, increasingly better serving the people's needs for cultural and entertainment.

Emulate in the task of cultivating people, creating high-quality human resources, applying science and technology to serve the development needs of the Industry.
In particular, compete to jointly achieve the Declaration of Action of the Ministry and the Industry: "Culture is the foundation - Information is the conductor - Sports is the strength - Tourism is the bridge connecting", contributing significantly to the aspiration to build a strong, prosperous, democratic, fair, civilized, prosperous and happy Vietnam.
