Ms. Thai Thi Mai - Head of the Son La Trade Union Working Committee said that after the arrangement of the trade union apparatus, despite changes in the model and scale, the Provincial Trade Union cadres still maintain a sense of responsibility, solidarity, flexible adaptation and determination to complete their tasks well.
The Provincial Trade Union Working Committee has directed the review of each field and topic to closely monitor grassroots trade union activities, ensuring that work takes place continuously and without interruption. Son La Provincial Trade Union has focused on improving responsibility, organizational skills and supervision of the implementation of policies, wages, bonuses, labor contracts, insurance, and occupational safety and hygiene at units and enterprises in the area.
At the same time, focus on signing collective labor agreements, developing internal regulations and rules and promoting periodic dialogue between employees and enterprises. Concretizing emulation movements suitable for each unit and enterprise.
One of the key tasks that the Son La Provincial Trade Union pays special attention to is focusing on taking care of the material and spiritual life of union members and workers. Support the construction of "Union Shelter" for union members with housing difficulties. Organize visits and help union members and relatives with serious illnesses.
To date, the whole province of Son La has had 81/104 enterprises with trade unions, organizing dialogues, and receiving legitimate opinions and aspirations from workers. 93/125 enterprises have negotiated and signed collective labor agreements and 52 enterprises have organized shift meals for employees.
In the coming time, Son La Trade Union will continue to promote training and coaching to improve the professional skills of cadres; improve spirit, responsibility, style, and professional skills to meet the requirements of the tasks; review and update information of union members serving management after the merger.
Effectively implement the "Union Shelter" programs, union member welfare and organize cultural and sports activities, contributing to improving spiritual life, building a united environment, promoting emulation of labor production in units and enterprises.
