Bach Mai Hospital and Viet Duc Friendship Hospital facility 2 in Ninh Binh were inaugurated in 2025, but as of the present time (April 18, 2026), both of these hospitals have not yet carried out patient reception as well as medical examination and treatment activities.
People in Ninh Binh and some neighboring provinces are very eager and expect greatly that these 2 central-level medical facilities will soon be put into operation so that they can soon access high-quality medical examination and treatment services.
On April 18, in an exchange with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Hoang Cuong - Deputy Head of the Medical Works Project Management Board - Investor of the Project (under the Ministry of Health) - said that the installation of medical equipment at the above 2 hospitals is being urgently completed.
The equipment has been ordered and is currently being transferred. Wherever the equipment arrives, we will install it immediately. According to the plan, before June 30, 2026, we will complete the installation of the equipment in accordance with the Prime Minister's direction" - Mr. Cuong said.
Also according to Mr. Cuong, to ensure the safe operation of both hospitals, contractors are adjusting the fire prevention and fighting system. At the same time, the Ministry of Construction is also conducting inspections of the project quality acceptance results. Ninh Binh Department of Agriculture and Environment is carrying out environmental licensing procedures.
The early putting the 2nd facility of the two hospitals into operation is not only an urgent requirement to reduce the burden on the main facility in Hanoi, but also a strategic step, showing a long-term vision in developing a modern, synchronous, equitable and effective healthcare system.
Each hospital with a scale of 1,000 beds and built according to a modern hospital model, spacious infrastructure, advanced and synchronous medical equipment system; meeting the requirements of deploying high and specialized techniques on par with the region and gradually approaching international standards.
