Diversifying forms of propaganda to workers
Talking to PV of Lao Dong Newspaper, Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor Vo Manh Son said that the whole province currently has nearly 400,000 employees, of which more than 388,000 are union members. This is the main labor force in industrial parks and administrative agencies, contributing significantly to the socio-economic development of the locality.
Recognizing that role, trade unions at all levels have actively innovated the content and forms of propaganda and education through competitions, seminars, document issuance, and the use of digital platforms such as Fanpage, YouTube, Zalo... to spread information and legal policies.
In the past 5 years, more than 660,000 union members and workers have participated in studying and disseminating the Party's resolutions and directives and the State's laws and policies. Programs such as "Tet Sum Vay", "Worker's Month", "Hoa Dong Bao Thuy about Labor Safety and Hygiene" are organized enthusiastically and effectively.
The whole province has organized more than 10,900 direct propaganda sessions with more than 821,600 attendees; organized hundreds of mobile consultations and dialogues at businesses and boarding houses. The content focuses on laws directly related to workers' rights such as the Labor Code, the Trade Union Law, the Social Insurance Law, the Labor Safety Law, etc. The Provincial Federation of Labor also organizes many online law learning competitions with tens of thousands of workers participating, helping to consolidate knowledge in a vivid and easy-to-remember way.
In addition to systematic implementation in the trade union system, propaganda work has also received the attention and direction of the Provincial Party Committee and the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province through a series of specific resolutions and projects. Notably, the province has issued Decision No. 4714 on resolving labor disputes; developing coordination plans with the Provincial Federation of Labor in the work of propagating, disseminating and educating the law at enterprises. The team of reporters and propagandists has been strengthened and trained periodically, promoting the effectiveness of spreading policies and guidelines to the grassroots.
Thanks to the synchronous implementation of solutions and forms of propaganda and systematic organization of movements, good and creative models such as Workers Cultural Corner, the model 3V - For workers, for the Trade Union organization, for the sustainable development of enterprises... has created a new look for workers education. Not only stopping at disseminating laws, many activities also integrate propaganda about studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, helping to improve professional ethics, awareness of thrift and industrial style among workers" - Mr. Son emphasized.
Spreading advanced examples and models
Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor Vo Manh Son assessed that over the years, Lao Dong Newspaper has always maintained a regular presence, continuously reflecting workers' lives and trade union activities, promptly conveying information to a large number of readers, becoming a close companion of the Thanh Hoa Trade Union and workers, contributing significantly to the front of propaganda, encouragement and spreading emulation movements.
According to Mr. Son, the articles in Lao Dong Newspaper not only record large-scale activities at the provincial level, but also meticulously depict small but meaningful stories at the grassroots level. From the images of typical advanced examples, fates that are difficult to overcome, to extraordinary determination in the midst of hardship, all are truly reflected, touching people's hearts.
It is that timeliness and closeness that has created a strong influence, contributing to the formation of a vibrant competitive atmosphere, motivating many workers to overcome adversity and rise up in life.
Not only stopping at setting an example, Lao Dong Newspaper also focuses on reflecting and analyzing in depth the regimes and policies related to workers. These articles both help workers better understand their legitimate rights and interests and are an important information channel for authorities to receive and adjust policies to suit reality.
It can be said that the support of Lao Dong Newspaper and the Thanh Hoa Trade Union has contributed to fostering the trust of workers, building a close, responsible and supportive union image for workers. This is the foundation for the workers' and trade union movements in the area to develop more and more strongly, towards the goal of better caring for the lives and rights of workers.
