More than 30 projects and tasks worth over 4.2 billion VND have been coordinated and implemented by the Lang Son Provincial Labor Federation in the 2023-2026 period.

Ms. Be Thi Hoa - Chairwoman of the Provincial Labor Federation - informed that Lang Son has more than 231km of border adjacent to China, holding a particularly important position in politics, economy, defense, security and foreign affairs.

In recent years, trade union levels in the province have implemented many activities towards the border, supporting functional forces and people in border communes.

On August 19, the Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) of Lang Son province organized the signing of a sisterhood program with 3 border posts Chi Lang, Bao Lam and Na Hinh.

In the period 2023-2026, the Provincial Labor Federation coordinated to implement more than 30 projects and tasks with a total value of over 4.2 billion VND. One of the outstanding activities is mobilizing the construction of roads for checking landmarks and protecting borders.

According to Mr. Luong Chi Cong - Vice Chairman of Lang Son Provincial Labor Federation, in the period 2023-2025, trade union levels mobilized and contributed nearly 4 billion VND along with materials and working days, contributing to the completion of 23 roads. The Provincial Labor Federation alone mobilized the construction of 4 roads with a total value of 700 million VND.

In addition, many resources are allocated to building new rural areas, eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, building cultural houses, civil works and taking care of people's health.

In 2024, the Provincial Labor Federation coordinated with Na Hinh Border Guard Station and MEDLATEC Lang Son Co., Ltd. to organize health consultations and free blood tests for nearly 100 officers, soldiers and people in Trung Khanh, Thanh Long, Thuy Hung communes. On this occasion, units supported 100 million VND to build roads for checking landmarks, 100 million VND to implement civil works, eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, and 60 million VND to support new rural construction.

In 2025 and 2026, the Provincial Labor Federation will continue to coordinate to support the construction of village cultural houses in Binh Xa commune; implement projects to light up village roads in Hoang Van Thu, Khuat Xa and light up border patrol roads.

In Na Phieng village, Mr. Nong Van Thanh shared that before, when there was no lighting, people were worried about theft and accidents when traveling at night. Since the road was lit up, combined with the installation of security cameras, people are more reassured.

At the end of January 2026, the Provincial Labor Federation, Chi Lang Border Guard Station and Khuat Xa Commune People's Committee also handed over a project including 20 solar light bulbs on a road about 800m long. This is one of many specific tasks being implemented to improve life and contribute to maintaining security in the border area.

In parallel with projects and social security activities, propaganda work is focused on. In the past 4 years, trade union levels have organized more than 2,600 propaganda conferences on protecting territorial sovereignty and border security, attracting nearly 86,000 union members and workers to participate.

Colonel Luong Manh Vong - Deputy Political Commissar of the Border Guard Command of Lang Son province - assessed that the sisterhood program creates a basis for the Trade Union organization and border guard units to maintain regular coordination, promote the strengths of each side in propaganda, mobilizing union members, workers and people to participate in border protection.

The important thing is that the signed contents must be concretized into practical projects and tasks, suitable to the needs of each locality. Through this, the program both supports officers and soldiers to complete their tasks and contributes to taking care of people's lives, building a solid "people's heart formation" in the border area" - Colonel Luong Manh Vong emphasized.

After signing, the units will maintain information exchange, develop annual plans and take turns summarizing and evaluating results. These tasks will prioritize caring for people with meritorious services, policy families, poor households, and students in difficult circumstances; supporting housing, livelihoods, vocational training, medical examination and treatment, environmental protection and new rural construction.
