At the thematic meeting of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee held on August 17, Secretary of Lang Son Provincial Party Committee Hoang Quoc Khanh agreed with the proposal of the Provincial Labor Federation on the Project to establish commune and ward trade unions in the area.
This is a key content to be discussed and prioritized for implementation in the coming time.
Initially, the province will pilot the establishment of trade union organizations in 8 commune-level administrative units, including: Dong Kinh, Luong Van Tri, Tam Thanh, Ky Lua, Huu Lung, Tuan Son, Cai Kinh and Dong Dang.
The Provincial Party Secretary assigned the Provincial Labor Federation to review and closely coordinate with local authorities to closely follow the actual needs of officials and union members.
Mr. Khanh emphasized the requirement to arrange responsible officials with sufficient capacity, ensuring that the commune-level trade union organization when established must operate "substantially and effectively", play a good role in representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights of workers.
Also at the conference, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee gave opinions and agreed on the policy of establishing Bac Lang Industrial Cluster (belonging to Chau Son commune).
The project has a scale of 73.9 ha with a total estimated investment of more than 567 billion VND. Provincial leaders assessed this as an important project to help promote the province's socio-economy, and at the same time requested the Provincial People's Committee to carefully review the conditions, ensure strict investment procedures and in accordance with the law.
In addition to the above two contents, the conference also approved the plan to implement Conclusion No. 58 of the Politburo on consolidating and building grassroots Party organizations and improving the quality of Party members; and at the same time considered a number of contents related to regular personnel work.
