Union bonuses are more valuable than... gold
To me, that gold reward is more valuable than gold. Because besides the great material value, there is also spiritual value that not all workers can get - for 2 years now, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Suong, shoe soles department, is still full of emotions when talking about the reward of 1 tael of 24k gold for employees who have been with the company for 10 years. Therefore, she and her family agreed to keep the award as a family possession passed on to her children and grandchildren in pride.

Ms. Suong is one of 600 employees receiving a reward of gold at a low level according to the regulations that the Company's Trade Union has worked hard to build. Because this bonus is up to 1.5 taels of gold for those who have been with the company for 20 years. However, that is only the beginning of the ice level sinking into the series of policies to care for union members and employees.
Mr. Le Vo Huu Hanh - Chairman of the Trade Union of Freeview Industrial Vietnam Co., Ltd. - said that with the motto "Using benefits as convergence points", the Trade Union has proactively participated in negotiations with the company's leaders and signed a Collective Labor Agreement with many provisions higher than the law, such as: Employees who have worked for 12 months will receive a salary increase of 2.5% of the basic salary on the labor contract...
At first, this number seems unimpressive, but if we know that the average income of employees here is over 11 million VND/person/month and the whole company has more than 21,000 employees, then this number is very impressive, especially this is a 100% foreign-owned enterprise. That is not to mention activities of caring for others, parties, sickness, maternity, Tet bonuses... According to the report of the Executive Committee of the Company's Trade Union, the expenditure from the Trade Union's financial revenue alone is up to nearly 30 billion VND/year.
Passion for the Trade Union career
Thanks to good representation and care work, the grassroots trade union has admitted 99% of employees to the organization, and has had up to 80% of employees with the company for 5 years or more. That is a very valuable achievement in the context of many fluctuations in the world economy, decreased export orders, many businesses forced to reduce working hours, cut employees... However, Mr. Hanh is still not satisfied with this achievement, even expressing concern about the possibility of falling behind in Trade Union work.
Therefore, Mr. Hanh boldly proposed to improve his qualifications to successfully complete the task.
Before the first Dong Thap Provincial Trade Union Congress, I hope that delegates will discuss and propose appropriate training and fostering mechanisms to help grassroots trade union officials like me improve their professional skills and skills. Thereby enhancing operational efficiency, contributing to maintaining the position and role of a socio-political organization under the leadership of the Party to represent, care for, and protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of members and employees, Mr. Hanh emphasized.
That is not only a personal petition of the enthusiastic to the Vietnam Trade Union organization, but also gives us confidence in the ability to continue to have new innovations for Trade Union activities in the coming time.
