The program is co-organized by the Trade Union of the Faculty of Literature; the Trade Union of the Faculty of Linguistics, Vietnamese and Vietnamese Studies, and the Trade Union of the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities.
According to the Trade Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU-USSH), the program is not only an art performance but also an academic space to help officials, lecturers, students, and pupils access the precious intangible cultural values. In a solemn space, 8 typical performances vividly recreated the vitality of Le Thuy Ho khoan. The touching highlight is the Ho khoan suite about General Vo Nguyen Giap and the song "Quang Binh, my homeland" that has deeply awakened national pride.
Also in the program, interesting shares from folk culture researcher Nguyen Hung Vi and artisans about history, musical characteristics and efforts to preserve Le Thuy Ho khoan folk songs have helped viewers understand more deeply about the unique "singing - painting" nature of this art form.
The program also introduces a new lyric writing contest for folk songs - a practical action to "rejuvenate" heritage, encouraging union members to apply language thinking and literary materials to preserving identity.
VNU-USSH Trade Union said that the program affirms the active role of the trade union organization in caring for spiritual life and tightening solidarity between units. The aftertaste of folk songs of love for the homeland also opens up new prospects in bringing cultural heritage into teaching and extracurricular activities in the current university environment.
