In industrial parks and factories in Can Tho City, the quality of workers' shift meals is increasingly being clearly improved over time. No longer monotonous, daily meals have been flexibly changed menus, suitable for taste and especially strictly controlled food safety and hygiene.
Mr. Tran Thanh Duy (worker at TKG TaeKwang Can Tho Co., Ltd.) shared that not only ensuring nutrition, lunch meals at the company also improve over time, flexibly changing dishes, tastes as well as ensuring food safety and hygiene.
Especially, during Tet or Workers' Month, the grassroots Trade Union and the company also coordinate to organize Trade Union Meals, Special Meals. Thereby, helping us have a better meal, regenerate labor to work effectively, contributing to improving productivity and accompanying the overall development of the company" - Mr. Duy said.
That practical concern and care is also maintained at Hau Giang Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (Can Tho City). Attached to the business for more than a decade, Ms. Phan Thi Thanh Thuy (a member of the company's grassroots Trade Union) always feels the warmth and respect from the leadership.

Mr. Vo Thanh Hung - Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union of Hau Giang Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company - affirmed that businesses always identify employees as the biggest asset, the core factor for development. Therefore, information inviting bidding for meal suppliers is widely publicized in the media to find reputable partners.
The company established an appraisal team to consider and select the best supplier" - Mr. Hung added.
Trade Union meals at Hau Giang Pharmaceutical are organized on the occasion of Workers' Month and the anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union, to show gratitude and strengthen the connection between businesses and workers. Each meal is worth 80,000 VND, with a rich menu, ensuring nutrition and food safety.
Foundation for a new stage of development
Statistics in the period 2023-2025 show that Can Tho City has nearly 400 grassroots trade unions organizing lunch meals for workers with stable prices ranging from 18,000 to 30,000 VND/person/meal. The "Trade Union Meal" program is also increasingly being replicated, with a large number of union members and workers benefiting.
Leaders of the Can Tho City Labor Federation believe that the results of caring for life and improving the quality of meals are the foundation for the City Trade Union to enter the 2025-2030 term with a new mindset.
In the coming time, the Trade Union will innovate the content and methods of operation; promote dialogue, collective bargaining and supervise the implementation of labor laws at enterprises.
Trade Union brand programs such as "Tet Sum vay", "Workers' Month", "Trade Union Home", "Benefit for union members", "Improving the quality of meals" will continue to be invested and implemented synchronously.
