On March 8, to celebrate the 116th anniversary of International Women's Day March 8 (March 8, 1910 - March 8, 2026), the grassroots Trade Union of the Can Tho City Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) organized a meeting, cooking contest and birthday celebration for union members in the first quarter of 2026.
Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai - Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City, Chairwoman of the Can Tho City Labor Federation acknowledged and praised the contributions of female cadres and civil servants in the past time.

According to the Chairman of the Can Tho City Labor Federation, female officials and civil servants of the agency have made many important contributions to common activities. No matter what position they are in, women always show a sense of responsibility, dedication and effort to complete assigned tasks well.
We always appreciate the silent but very meaningful contributions of the women. After each common achievement of the agency is the effort, sharing and responsibility of the female staff, not only in work but also in taking care of their families" - Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai said.
According to her, women today are both gentle but also very strong, responsible in work, and thorough in family life.

In the new period, the tasks of agencies and trade union organizations are facing increasingly higher requirements. She hopes that female officials and civil servants will continue to promote the spirit of responsibility, solidarity, and actively contribute to trade union activities and the overall development of the unit.
I believe that with their dynamism, bravery and responsibility, women will continue to be an important force, contributing to building an increasingly united and strong agency, successfully completing all assigned tasks" - Chairman of Can Tho City Labor Federation emphasized.
Within the framework of the meeting, the cooking contest took place sôi nổi with the participation of 5 teams from trade union groups. The teams showed creativity, organizational skills, ensuring food safety and hygiene, and presenting dishes harmoniously and aesthetically.
