Implementing the policy of arranging administrative units and organizing local government at two levels, 2025 marks an important turning point in the organization and operation of the Trade Union of Tran Yen commune.
Although the area does not change in terms of geography, the role of the commune trade union is more clearly defined when it becomes the direct focal point for leading and directing grassroots trade unions and businesses in the inter-communal area - where many workers and laborers in non-state sectors are concentrated.
After reorganizing the apparatus, the number of affiliated grassroots trade unions decreased by 78 focal points with more than 2,500 union members. Faced with that reality, Tran Yen Commune Trade Union clearly defined the motto: streamlining the organization but not reducing the trade union's role. Conversely, it is necessary to improve the quality of operations, strongly focusing on businesses, where there are many workers.
From July 1, 2025, when the Tran Yen Commune Trade Union officially went into operation, union member development continued to be promoted. In just the last 5 months of the year, 149 new union members were admitted, raising the total number of newly developed union members in the year to 219 people.
In parallel with organizational arrangement, the Trade Union of Tran Yen commune has directed the successful organization of congresses of 24 grassroots trade unions and grassroots trade unions for the 2025-2030 term, ensuring compliance with principles, progress and promoting democracy.
After the 1st Tran Yen Commune Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030, the Executive Committees of trade unions at all levels quickly assigned specific tasks, each member in charge of business groups, inter-communal areas, helping the direction and guidance of grassroots levels to be closer to reality and more timely.
Thanks to that, activities to care for and protect the rights of union members and workers continue to be implemented synchronously. In 2025, the Commune Trade Union and grassroots trade unions awarded more than 2,160 gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances during the Lunar New Year and Workers' Month; supported housing construction for 5 union members from the Trade Union Social Fund.
Activities such as "Tet Sum vay", "Trade Union Meal" are organized right at the enterprise, contributing to increasing cohesion and building harmonious and stable labor relations.
The fact that the commune trade union directly leads grassroots trade unions and businesses in the inter-communal area is a suitable direction in the two-level local government model.
