Trade unions and businesses in Ho Chi Minh City organize bus trips to take workers home

On February 11, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation said that the unit is urgently preparing to organize the Trade Union Bus Trip - Spring 2026 program to take workers in difficult circumstances in the North of Ho Chi Minh City to their hometowns for Tet.

The departure ceremony took place at the Binh Duong Labor Culture Center (An Phu ward, Ho Chi Minh City) on the morning of February 12. 2. According to the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, in addition to the program organized by the Labor Federation, many businesses also arranged buses and gave bus tickets to take thousands of workers home for Tet.

Notably, the tire manufacturing company (with a factory in My Phuoc 3 Industrial Park, Thoi Hoa ward) organized a "0-dong bus trip" to take workers to the Central and Northern provinces to celebrate Tet. The buses will depart from the factory on February 14 to take workers home. After workers finish Tet, the company continues to organize buses to pick up workers to Ho Chi Minh City to work. All costs for organizing the bus trip are sponsored by this business.

Yazaki EDS Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Di An ward, Ho Chi Minh City) is also one of the typical units in organizing the transportation of workers back to their hometowns during Tet.

Talking to reporters, Ms. Pham Thi Tuyet Nhung - Chairwoman of the grassroots trade union of Yazaki EDS Vietnam Co., Ltd. - said that this year the jobs and incomes of workers are quite stable. During Tet, the company decided to give Tet bonuses to workers equal to 2.4 months of basic salary plus allowances. To take care of workers far from home, the company also organizes a bus trip for workers. All costs of the program to take workers home are sponsored by the business. The bus trip will depart to take workers home on the afternoon of February 12, 2026 (ie December 25 of the lunar calendar).

The company will organize 6 sleeper bus trips to take about 240 workers home for Tet. The buses will pick up workers moving from the factory in My Phuoc Industrial Park to Di An and depart for their hometowns," Ms. Pham Thi Tuyet Nhung informed.

According to records, most businesses in the North of Ho Chi Minh City will organize production until the end of February 14. After that, businesses will give employees Tet holiday and resume production from February 23 (the 6th day of Tet).
